This year’s NBA Finals is a great matchup between two teams that have been dominant for the entire playoffs. In this year’s playoffs, both the Heat and the Spurs have shown that they can make proper adjustments from wins and losses. The Heat displayed this by winning every time they lost. The Spurs also showed this when they had a tough time in the first few games of their second round series. Both coaches of the teams are great at making adjustments and it’ll be an interesting matchup to follow.
Although coaches aren’t going to divulge their game plans, they provide important comments with regards to the things they need to do and the adjustments they are going to have to make.
Game 1 summary
The first game of the series is usually a feeling out stage where players and coaches try to see what the opposing team is bringing to the table. In game 1, the Heat didn’t play like their usual self with LeBron James playing passively and Dwyane Wade being inactive like he has been for the majority of this year’s playoffs.
The Spurs capitalized on the fact and attacked the Heat defense with the lead of Tony Parker who penetrated paint to score or to open up shooters on the team. The Spurs won the game with a score of 92-88.
