NBA Preview: Golden State Warriors vs. Memphis Grizzlies December 7

Owing to their great start of the season, despite going 4-6 in their last 10 games, the Warriors is still in the western conference playoff picture as they currently rank 8. The same can't be said against the Memphis Grizzlies who struggled early on due to the experiment done by the coaching staff to try and improve the team's offense by increasing the pace. The said experiment didn't turn out so well as the losses piled in the first two weeks of the season. The players had a hard time adjusting to their new and faster style of play, and the effects showed on the defensive end of the floor.  The coach had to get back to their old ways and they got back to winning.

However, the winning didn't last long due to the aforementioned injury to Gasol. Unlike the Warriors that can get some solid contributions from the bench to counteract the absence of Iguodala, the Grizzlies have no replacement for what Gasol does for the team. Their defense is a big mess without Gasol anchoring it. Their offense is also struggling as they have become more limited in terms of playmaking.

It is truly a tough stretch for both teams right now. However, they can't just wait for their injured players to return. Instead on succumbing to the nasty effects of injuries, they could use this period as a learning experience to make themselves better.
