After starting off hot for the season, the Timberwolves have been as cold as the city that they are playing for. The team has lost 7 out of their last ten games. They have 9 wins and 10 losses, ranking 12 in the western conference and out of the playoff picture. The team could really use a turnaround right now. Not only are they struggling on hitting shots, but their perimeter defense has been simply awful. It seems like any team with decent three-point shooting can go off against the Wolves. What's more is that things aren't likely to get any better soon with the defending champions visiting on Saturday night.

The Heat haven't been playing the well recently, with them currently in a 2-game losing streak. As good as they are with their 14 wins and 5 losses, they seem to take breaks during games, not giving their best for the entire 48 minutes. Perhaps it can be attributed to the championship hangover. However, it is hard to imagine the Heat being comfortable with their recent skid. Coming into the game against the Wolves, the Heat could be very angry as they look to make things right. Again, that is bad news for the Wolves.
To make it worse, the Wolves will be without their best player as Kevin Love is out due to the passing his grandmother. If the Wolves are to have a fighting chance in this game, everything has got to come together. Starters need to be able to stand toe-to-toe against the Heat's starting lineup and the bench needs to be really good and outplay their counterpart. This is the only way the angry and motivated Heat can lose this game.
