In the other eastern conference, there’s also an altercation. Although there were no actual punches thrown, some pretty intense moment happened during and after the Celtics’ and Knicks’ match. Kevin Garnett and Carmelo Anthony aggressively jawed at each other after a physical play for which both were charged with technical fouls. However, the drama didn’t end there as Anthony was reported to have gone near the Celtics’ locker room, shouting and raging after the game. A video also showed that Anthony was waiting near the Celtics’ bus, wherein a couple of security and Knicks coach Mike Woodson handled the situation to prevent it from escalating to more serious problems. The incident could mean a suspension for Anthony, a star on a team that is doing pretty well. His suspension can greatly affect the team’s standing. On the other hand, for the Garnett and the Celtics, it’s only just another day in the office. Garnett is already known for his physical plays and tendency to trash talk to get opposing players out of their comfort zone. I guess it worked well against Anthony. Celtics are in desperate need of wins, and basketball fans can rest assured that Garnett anything he can to create better chances of winning.
