Websites to Avoid!

by Dawie Bezuidenhout Systems Engineer I.T.

In the following list you'll find many variations of websites that claim to be legitimate, but are not, they scam you out of your hard earned cash. The Job Placement centres are also taking a knock, a lot of sites claim to have online positions available for you, but you need to pay them a registration fee. This is nonsense, all legitimate Job Placement centres get paid by the company that needs employees. If you are unemployed, dont give out your last bit of cash to get a bogus online job, do it through a legitimate Placement centre. This is just a short list of some scam sites, there's thousands, and daily new scam sites are started.

Note: Other sites similar to and are:

Sites promoting are:

Hope this helps a bit, just be dilligent and thorough, and do some research before handing over your money to someone you don't know.

I should have mentioned they are free. Just watch how the set up works though. It seems they give 30 credits per month and when you use those up you have to purchase more if you want to keep applying during any one month. It looks like their way of controlling the crazys.

Hi all,

Thanks for the comments, just thought i would share this here, as i get a lot of mails asking for help regarding websites. I have been investigating sites for a couple of months now as a part time hobby, suppose it is my intellegence background from my army days that got me involved in it.
Always happy to give a helping hand and some tips.

Kind Regards

Yes, it is nice to know there is a watchdog out there to help and guide us. Thank goodness!! I almost fell for some of those, I Now I'm glad I didn't. I did fall for some other crooked things tho, but it doesn't take long to figure out that you have, they do get mighty obvious after a time.
Thanks for this wonderful info.

Hopefully people will pay attention. New scams pop up daily and old scams come back from the dead with a new name.

Those of us who are in the US are lucky. We have access to the Federal Trade Commissions website at and they post great information on consumer protection. Just click on Consumer protection and then look for the link that says publications. You can download them in PDF to your computer or if you are in the US order them from the FTC for free.
