Braided copper wire products are in demand in various industries because of the versatility of copper wire and its ability to perform manifold functions in diverse industrial applications. The braided variety is generally recommended for ground wire applications. They are mostly available in non-insulated form but the best manufacturers of the product ensure that their wires meet the safety specifications laid down by the industry for use in non-insulated form. Ground wire applications do not require insulation of copper wires of the braided variety.

Provides Superior Grounding For Various Electrical Devices

Flat braided wires are used in industries where the thrust is on obtaining improved ductility. This is achieved by annealing the wires. These wires are used in electrical industry for a wide number of applications. They carry an electric current or are also used for grounding an electrical device.

Depending on the size and type of braided copper wire, the amount of current it can carry varies. This is directly proportional to the gauge of the copper wire. As it is laid bare in ground wire applications, it is important to keep the copper wire protected from moisture, abrasion, heat and chemicals. This can be achieved by giving the wire a sheath of various types of coatings and coverings.

Can Be Used For Single Or Multiple Strand Wiring

When used in the electrical industry, braided copper wire contains copper as the prime material. However, in some kinds of applications, alloys of different kinds are needed to boost its strength and augment its resistance to factors like environment and chemicals.

Braided copper wire constitutes either of a single strand or of many smaller strands entwined together, depending on it’s the kind of application and industry it is being used in. These wires are in high demand in industrial, electronic, and automotive applications.  Copper wires of this variety can be used for several other applications. It works extremely well for tasks such as balancing lithium ion battery pack for energy storage because it is highly flexible. The braid can be used in conjunction with a copper pipe to ground radios together to eliminate its grounding.

Braided copper wires can be used to create a steady and powerful supply hose for grounded nitrogen. It allows users to fill the air gap space in their liquid drumming operation with nitrogen. The arrangement neatly eliminates the need to use an independent ground strap for the nozzle for dispensing the nitrogen. Care must be taken to have the container grounded separately while using copper wire for this application. That’s important because the grounded nitrogen wand may cause a spark if the container is not treated. It has static electricity and is thus potentially electrified.

Braided copper wire is also used as a grounding wire for welding of materials that have odd shapes and create difficulty in clamping. Copper braided wire can also be used for creating flexible jointing for electric appliances, switch appliances, electric stoves, storage batteries and other similar devices. Their electrical resistivity is very low and hence opens up a broader range of applications in diverse industries.
