Getting the most for your money
When you purchase a service form a company on the internet how do you know you are getting value for money ?.
Lots of sites tell you they offer the best in services, tools and performance but How much of this is real and how much of it is hype ?.
If your like me you shop around and weigh up the costs not just the initial fee but ongoing cost including any extra services i may wish to add later, when you do this it quickly becomes apparent which company has the best deal.
Lets look at a couple of examples.
Aweber is a well known and respected company supplying bulk mail and auto response services, their pricing looks reasonable at $19.95 for a list up to 500 subscribers and then $10 per block of 500 thereafter.
Now say i have a list of around 25,000 according to their pricing chart my monthly cost would be $149 based on list size and i can send unlimited mails.
Not being a spammer and abiding by the canspam act i know i can only send to my list every few days lets say 3 days between sending would total 10 mail outs or 250,000 mails for my $149 per month
Not bad you say ! but what if their was a cheaper solution with the same abilities as Aweber.
Rapid Marketer is one such service, it to has plans starting at $19.95 a similar set of tools and services but works on a totally opposite mailing system, instead of paying according to the size of your list Rapid Marketer assigns it's plans by the number of mails allowed with the base plan of $19.95 allowing the member to send out 250,000 mails per month.
Thats the same number of mails one would send using Aweber but a whole $129.05 cheaper than Aweber for basically the same service.
So next time your looking to purchase a service or tool shop around before you decide to spend your money.

I don't know A Weber. The one I referred to is TrafficWave. The interface there is a maze and totally confusing, especially when you never used auto responders etc. before. When you provide an email marketing service it should accommodate all types of users; not only seasoned marketers and web masters but also beginners who never used an auto responder before and have no technical skills yet to create an opt-in form. Every email marketing is too expensive if you can't use it because it is to di

I'm a stickler for ROI. I have paid for things that had a crappy Return on Investment and also buoght cheaper that gave me a better return. In this case RM Has a better ROI than Aweber because you are getting the same service for a much lower price. If both return the same amount of business, you would be wasting money to stick with Aweber when there is a more affordable option.

I had an other one before RM because it was mandatory to have a subscription for that program. Since I paid for the subscription I wanted to use that for other programs and newsletters as well. I spent days figuring out how it worked. I failed and gave up on it and never used it. So when I canceled that program I also canceled that autoresponder. Dave gave me a RM account as a gift and although highly appreciated I kept postponing using it because of my experience with the interface of the other

Your lead question was " How do you know you're getting value for your money?" Well, the first thing I do,and will do regarding Rapid Marketer, is look for reviews though the various search engines. I look for positive, negative, and overal general comments. Weigh what I read, and who's saying it, and make my decesion. It's not fool proof, but I have been able to identify some real scams, and saved tons on dollars in the process.
