Murphy's law at 3am
as the title suggests it's 3am i'm tired and i'm finally putting the finishing touches on moving all our sites over to brand new servers, it's been a long drawn out day and i'm looking forward to my head finally hitting the pillow and grabbing some much needed sleep.
I know that it's going to be several hours before the new settings take effect and during that time our sites will be offline ?so i switch my pc off and crawl off to my room and dreamland.
My head no sooner hits the pillows when the phone rings and i groggily pick it up,"hi dad, thought i ring to say goodnight" it's my daughter and as i say night sweety and hang up i decide i need a glass of water so head back off to the kitchen to quench my thirst, as i pass my office i notice the glow of my monitor shining under the door so i open the door to investigate feeling sure i had turned the pc off.
i walk over to my desk and look at the monitor realizing i must have hit restart instead of shutdown, oh well might as well do one final check while i finish my water and then it hits me i had not actually transferred the sites instead i had copied them back onto the original server, well nothing i was in any fit condition to do now murphy's law had won again and it would have to wait until i had got some sleep.

Just had a good laugh after reading the blog and associated comments.
These spammers have no shame; none at all. They ought to carry out this sordid act of spamming in the dead of night but, unfortunately for them, there is no night on the internet so their acts are open for all to see.
Shame on them.

I am a big Murphy's Law person so I couldn't pass on the reading. I am not looking forward to moving our site in Jan/Feb and hope Murphy is on vacation then.
