Should you upgrade in APSense?

by Paula van Dun Retired
When you are reading this while you joined APSense recently my honest advice would be to wait a little bit in most cases. Especially when you are still unfamiliar with working online and on how social media marketing works.

When this is the case there are some things you need to be sure about first before spending any money. Unless you are Rockefeller.

  1. Is working online really for you? Unlike many programs claim, earning a living online is not easy especially not when building from scratch. You do need basic skills which include setting up as business plan, organizing skills, building an online presence, choosing a legitimate business, promotion skills and more.
  2. Do you fully understand how all features and add-ons on APSense work?
  3. Do you understand the difference between social media marketing and advertising?
  4. Do you realize that although APSense and network in general are great to build your brand and reputation, you will also need to generate traffic from other sources of advertising like Traffic Exchanges, text ads exchanges, etc. Most of these services can be joined free but when free you will need to spend time earning your mailing credits. With good strategies and building referrals you can get to the point where your referrals earn sufficient credits for you but it will take time and effort.
  5. When your native language is not English, do you master it good enough to read and comment?

To be able to answer some of these questions it is best to explore all APSense features. Make a start on building valuable contacts, educate yourself by reading a lot. When you explore APSense you will find out that most things are free. So why should you upgrade?

What is wrong with free? Nothing but....

Free only applies to the use of the tools and features. Although using these features costs no money it will cost you time before they become really beneficial for you even if you fully understand how to use them effectively. Let me explain this further.

  • When you write an article or a revpage only you and your connections on APSense will see it when they happen to be online. It needs time to build sufficient contacts to have your contributions seen by many in the live feed.
  • As a free member you can only invite 5 people daily to connect with you.
  • Yes you can use campaigns (either free credit campaigns or paid advertising) to have your promotions seen by people you are not connected with. However earning credits will also cost you time. Upgraded members get monthly free credits and earn credits faster when they need more.
  • Of course upgrade members have some additional advantages like user ads, the ability to create more than one brand page, create page tours, create groups, send more direct messages and earn more commission.
  • Yes, upgraded members earn more commissions from their downline members that upgrade. This is a nice extra but keep in mind that most of your downline members will remain a free member for ever. Unless you are an excellent recruiter and you are able to motivate your downline to upgrade, this should not be your motivation to upgrade.

So when should you upgrade?

  • When you are absolutely sure that building an income with online business is something you want and can do.
  • When you realize that upgrading alone will not do the trick and you still need to spend a lot of time and effort in building your brand, your online presence and network.
  • When you realize that every dollar can only spent once but that the same applies for minutes and hours. The new credit campaigns are very effective.
  • When you realize that upgrading speeds up the process a lot for making connections and earning credits if needed. Allowing you to spend more time on things that have a long term revenue like converting your connections in meaningful B2C and B2B relations, writing content to establish yourself as an expert in your niche and to further develop your marketing and other skills.

I am a member of many networks and I can assure you that APSense offers the best value for upgraded members. So if earning from the internet is your cup of tea, by all means go for it and upgrade.

I have been a member of APSense longer than most posting here. Since May 17th, 2007. I was an upgraded member in the early days and we did have some very active Forum exchange of valuable information and most of DID business with each other. Yes we purchased valuable products and information and establish some long term relationships....
But hat flavor seemed to have gone away. It was really bad for a couple years..constant bombardment of "opportunities" that most people DID not understand themselves.
I have considered upgrading a few times again...but I am a bit hard-pressed to see the ROI very clearly. There is little to NO response on ads or Rev pages within the community.
Maybe I just do not offer the "golden rings" that so many seem to seek.
I and my clients have SEEN real reward "upgrading" (spending Money, which is WHAT businesses have to do to succeed) in other Social media platforms...
Am I missing something?
Doing the wrong things on Apsense?
Help me understand..Thanks

What kind of "Incomes" are others experiencing?
Are your ROI's in line with your goals and budgets?
Upgrading is NOT a cost, rather an investment...
But we demand return on Investment.
Businesses NEED profit to survive and be there to SERVE their customers.
We invested in ads on another platform in December and realized $60,000 in new sales, not bad sales amount for a $1,800 spend on Time and Capital.

Most value here for me is the time I save. By posting my stuff on APSense I can easily share and re-share as often as I want, not only on APSense but also on other networks. What I gained most here are valuable contacts and friends. But I must confess I found most a few years back when there were still human admins on APSense
