How Can I Fix QuickBooks Error 6123, 0?

Fix 1: Run QuickBooks File Doctor

  • Open the QuickBooks File Doctor Tool. If not already installed, download it from Intuit website and install it.

  • Browse for the company file.

  • Select the 'Diagnose File' option after clicking on the 'Check File Damage Only' option.

  • Enter the admin password, then choose "Ok."

  • In the most recent release, choose 'Open File'.

  • Reboot the PC after completing the aforementioned procedures.

Fix 2: Rename the Network and Transaction Log files

  • Locate and open the folder containing the company file.

  • Choose the ".ND" file and right-click on it.

  •  Choose the 'Rename' option.

  • Append '.ND.OLD' in the filename.

  • Similarly, Rename the .TLG file to ".TLG.OLD”.

  • In such a case, you need to ensure that the Company File is added to the list of exceptions in your anti-virus software.

  • Navigate to the ‘Control Panel,’ followed by the ‘Programs and Features’ option.

  • From the list of programs, identify QuickBooks Desktop and click on ‘Uninstall.

  • Once uninstalled successfully, download a fresh copy of QB that you would like to be used on your computer, or you can prefer the QuickBooks installation CD.

  • Install the QB in the normal mode and enter the requisite details, including the Product ID, License Number, etc.

  • QB will automatically be registered and subsequently activated.

  • Now, open the QB and access the Company file again.

  • Navigate to the ‘Control Panel’ option.

  • Select the ‘Create New User Choice’ option.

  • Subsequently, choose the Administrator for user type and Logout from the existing account.

  • Reboot your system and then log in by using the new user credentials.

  • Move your company file to the desktop.

  • Open QB and then try to access the company file.

Fix 7: Delete Characters Via the File Name

  • You need to ensure that the company file name is less than 30 characters and doesn’t have characters or unnecessary spaces.

  • Download the QuickBooks tool hub and install it.

  • Double-click on the window desktop icon to view the tool hub.

  • Click on ‘program problems.
