Sujalaam is India’s first Aerotropolis city. The world has many great Aerotropolis cities among which a few are the city states of Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, Canberra, Philippines, Manston, Mexico and many more. Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Limited (BAPL) developed India’s first private Greenfield airport. The airport developed under this project has been named Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport (KNI Airport). It has the best infrastructure and the most efficient support network. The project has received technical knowhow from a Singapore based firm named Changi Airports International. They had great experience in developing similar projects in the past. BAPL used the resources of an old airport at Andal (a place near Durgapur), to turn it into a modern airport that has all the amenities of an Aerotropolis. The airport operates flights between Kolkata - Durgapur and New Delhi - Durgapur presently. It is spread over an area of about 600 acres and has a large runway to accommodate all types of aircrafts. It can handle about 1 million people annually. The airport has 2 airstrips, 2 baggage counters, and a large lobby with shopping malls, food and beverage outlets, entertainment centres, retail outlets etc. 

Sujalaam skycity offers a world class living and a balanced work life, combined with great infrastructural facilities. It has a nice location that has road, rail, and air connectivity.
