Introduction to Sinus Aspergillosis

Sinus Aspergillosis is an infection of the paranasal sinuses caused by a fungus called Aspergillus, it may be invasive or non-invasive. This disease commonly occurs in immunocompromised people. 

Aspergillus is a fungus which commonly causes contamination of the upper respiratory tract.

Causes of Sinus Aspergillosis

Mainly Sinus Aspergillosis can occur due to the accumulation of fungus Aspergillus in the sinus.

• Immunocompromised people are more prone to develop Sinus Aspergillosis than people who have a healthy immune system.
• Some health conditions like uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, human immunodeficiency virus infection, neutropenia, and nasal polyps, etc can develop this disease.
• People using some medicines such as immunosuppressive drugs, corticosteroids, etc. are more likely to have this disease.

Diagnosis of Sinus Aspergillosis

Firstly diagnose the patient by doing his/her physical examination and ask him/her about the symptoms he/she have. Then the doctor recommends some test such as:

• Nasal endoscopy
• Nasal and fungal culture test
• Elevated total serum IgE levels
• Sinus imaging like - CT scan and MRI scan

Gandhak Rasayan Capsules

This herbal remedy of Planet Ayurveda is prepared by using Purified sulphur (shuddh gandhak). It also has anti-bacterial, anti-tumor, anti-inflammatory and anti-diuretic properties. Dosage: Two tablets two times a day with normal or lukewarm water after meals.

Manjistha Capsules

These capsules are made by using the standardized extract of Manjistha (Rubiacordifolia) herb. This is a very effective herbal remedy for Sinus Aspergillosis. Aller-G-Care Capsules

Aller-G-care capsule is  a wonderful herbal formulation of Planet Ayurveda for the Ayurvedic treatment of Sinus Aspergillosis. It is the combination of various herbs such as Ashwagandha (Withaniasomnifera), Haridra (Curcuma longa), Neem (Azadirachtaindica) and Shirish (Albezzialebbock).
