What happens at first night after arranged marriage?

Story Of My One Good Friend

We had a normal Indian arranged marriage. I have met him only 5 times before marriage. Once with family, thrice we met for dinner, and once we met accidentally on the road. Though we spoke a lot over the phone and through whatsapp, we never spoke much in person.

That was the day of our marriage, the moment I sat next to him on the stage, he whispered into my ears

“You look Gorgeous. I’m so lucky to have you..”, and I was on cloud nine. I laughed with my mouth closed with hands and he smirked at me.

Then came the first night. We talked a bit about the day. Then, as we got ready, he asked whether I was ok with having physical relation after a long tiring day. He also added that he was not that comfortable with it, and wished to have relationship after a few days, after getting to know each other more. I was surprised to hear such words from him.

It was just 8 then, we both didn’t feel sleepy, so decided to watch a movie on his laptop. We ordered food from a nearby restaurant to his friend’s address who lived in the adjacent apartment. We didn’t want the others in the house to know about this, because the Indian aunties would make a huge fuss about it. ( Indian youngsters can relate…. also the reason why I am going anonymous, because every other women in our family who is one quora is following me). His friend gave the food to us without anyone else knowing about this.

We ate, we watched the movie and went closer to each other. From half a feet distance between us at the starting of the movie, to cuddling each other through the end. We then said Good Night to each other and slept. And the next morning, he woke me up with a kiss on the forehead and a coffee.

And, that’s what happened on our first night of our ideal Indian arranged wedding and this is how we paved our way to our happy life.
