Clean the device screen

Before everything, you must try to clean to your iPhone’s touchscreen, it’s simple and mostly helps. Cleaning the screen will remove any debris or dust that can cause your iOS device to respond automatically. Sometimes, a wet screen also causes the touchscreen to work imperfectly. So first, clean your iPhone’s touchscreen.

Obtain a soft and clean cloth, as used cleaning the lenses. After that, lock or power off your iPhone and unplug any plugged headset, charger or other cables. You can also slightly dampen the cloth into the water. Now, clean the screen gently from one end to other. After cleaning the screen, unlock or power your iPhone on and check if still, the touch is not working correctly.

Restart your iOS device

If cleaning the touchscreen won’t fix the ghost touch issue, then you should try restarting your iPhone. Restarting your iPhone is always a good idea whenever it has any problem. Since it will clear the iPhone’s temporary data, possibly it also removes any glitch that is causing the error and fixes ghost touch issue.

Steps to restart iPhone X or later:

1.    Press the ‘Side’ button and then press the ‘Volume’ button. Keep holding until confirming message ‘Slide to power off’ appears on the screen.

2.    Slide the slider to the right to confirm.

3.    Allow your iPhone to shut down.

4.    After a minute, again press the ‘Side’ button to restart.

Remove the Screen Protector

Screen Protector (a thin glass) is used to attach to the touchscreen to protect it. Sometimes they may also create touch problems. So, you should try removing it, if you’ve one on your iPhone’s touchscreen. Remove the screen protector from your iPhone’s screen slowly and carefully. Start from one corner and slowly peel the screen protector off the screen. You can also consider contacting the manufacturer to get this done.

Remove the cover case

The cover case can also be the possible cause of iPhone ghost touch issue, especially when the device has a slightly twisted display. You can remove the attached case cover from your iPhone to check if this resolves the ghost touch issue.

Force Restart your iOS device

It is similar to restarting but more drastic you can try force restarting your iPhone to fix the ghost touch issue. Here is how to perform this,
