Have not been as active as l should be here at APSense...have not written any "NEW" material until just now. I been watching all of the live stream, l may not always reply, but l watch. Read most of the articles posted....unless it is another useless article on how l am going to be very rich and successful.
The APSense Team, created this site based on the ability of being able to share articles that had benefits, to all our members. The ability to express your view point, not how rich l am going to make you....That is not happening...seen way to may programs that had the "Lick and a Promise"......
To be honest with all of you l have just laid back and just watched, and quite frankly what l read is not all that original, has no feeling from the writer, meaning and certainly not free...This has had an effect on why l have not been as active as l have been.... Seen it all, almost from day one....most of us here have no idea, what APSense has to offer us.
To busy looking for that magical dust, like the TV show "I dream of a Jennie" snap your finger and wow your wish has been commanded.....Why most of us will never make a dime on the net....we forget to plan our success, we feel it should come natural...not happening at all.
I see articles being topped that absolutely have no reason for receiving that honor, l see articles that have been written by other writers and no credit being applied to the original writer. That's not right at all..............actually illegal to do that, on the internet. So l sit back and can not come up with a title tonight....like l said this one will work.
Some may understand this article most will just not even understand why l wrote it...

 Niver's ArtHey Joseph I agree with Neville and Sean, The title got my attention. You are so right, there are so many articles that are not even worthy to be called articles that are getting topped. I have seen articles that are more of a "regurgitating sales pitch" that doesn't even get read by me. People have absolutely no clue on how to market. I have met more people by sharing a thought, idea or a concept that I either read or or heard someone mention than I have throwing up a sales pitch to people. Sometimes I wonder how many people selling the magical dust are actually using it themselves or even had the success they claim of having. "Just a thought???" Great Post Topped and shared!  Medical Billing/Coding/InsuranceThere is way too much garbage masquerading as content. I go to the article feed page and I'm lucky if I can find something worth even reading since pretty much every thing is copy paste ad copy or another PLR Article someone put inthere to amass points. Philippe make not like it, but crap is crap and a lot of crap in a small space stinks. Until Members start naming crap for what it is the same garbage will continue to stink up the place. That's is not opinion, that is proven fact borne out by 4 years of seeing it. RetiredI agree with Sean. Real gems can be found if you dig deep enough. I read a lot too. And a lot not for credits. However I do not have the time to check if it is original or not.  Plastic artistHello Joseph! Don't be so upset. I understand your point of view but my APsense experience is to short to have an opinion. I now that people copy and paste all the time. Some people do not realize what it means to be an author and what kind of rights an author has. Many people think that what is published on the internet is public, free to take. Some act out of ignorance others just don't care. I preach this all the time and most of times I get bad attitude even from my friends that consider me a law purist. I am not 100% exempt either but I always try not to copy, it's ilegal and I also Iike to be original, to be able to say it's mine, even if it sucks! I guess the way is to write more articles like this one and show people the right way even if we feel like a preach in the desert! But, Joseph,look, I might find a reason to Top an article where you see just garbage. We don't have the same background, or culture, or sensibility. Our judgement will be then different.Those are factors that can explain some of the Toping that you do not agree worth of. But again, I am too much of a newbie to have informed opinion. Investing One Gram at a TimeThank you Cheryl, l though l was very confused when l had a hard time picking a title....the reason l wrote this was for all the crap that is being posted as an article....some articles are so short, they are not even a good comment.........Phil, nothing like the earlier days when we had fantastic and well written articles not saying it is not happening now......just very few....well written ones.....l have articles that have over 200 comments on them and some of the comments are longer then the article.............this is not a pissing contest....l just see what l see....crap...........and a lot of it.....spelling errors......we do have spell check here............ Just take the time to write an interesting article.....................make it come alive like you actually lived.............it............... Copy and paste is only good when you are using UBB Codes...........then you just fill in the blanks and look very impressive.............doing it..... Anyhow, All The Best JFB May 4th 2011 18:57 |

Seen it all, almost from day one....most of us here have no idea, what APSense has to offer us." Writing new, original, fresh content is not easy nowadays. There are tons of articles that have been written on all the subjects we can think of in the IM world. I sympathize with the members who just started online marketing and networking, and make the effort to write articles, Lord knows it is scary at first, how will it be received, since most of us are not born writers to begin with. By encouraging members, or making suggestions, I believe we point the members in the right direction. Granted, some won't listen, but who has not written some pieces that you find laughable today... Tutorial videos, sci-fi writerTimes change, Joseph, there are many more members on the Internet today than there ever was. People from countries who didn't even have Internet access not that long ago, who can't even see the awesome graphics or videos because they don't have high speed access. Try writing in another language before making judgments on the qualities of the writing of others. I appreciate their efforts and enthusiasm. We have so many things to do and learn in the IM world, a new language is not an easy obstacle to overcome, and it might be a lower priority when trying to make a few dollarsa day would be a big party for some people who live in poor countries with challenges we can't even imagine. Joseph, I guess those members who wrote such long articles and comments are now gone to greener pastures, having success with their own sites and projects. May 4th 2011 19:08 |

Investing One Gram at a TimeActually they are still around and just not as active.....but what your telling me is what we all already know.....not my point at all Phil...................but l appreciate and see where your coming from....l just understand the art of viral marketing, and why good content is vital for our "RANKINGS".....what the spiders crawl l look for ........with a good bounce ratio...........then APSense will be ranked.............under 4000..........Phil l am just a numbers guy............l can make them dance.....how l know if l am doing well just by my average... So now you see my point.......since you keep coming back at "LEAST" top it.......you have topped worse....:} Ontario sense of humor anyhow.....how my brains show me the numbers........this formula also works well at banks..... RetiredIt is not always easy to write something original about social marketing or related, especially not when the native language is not English. But than again, do you have to? You can write an article or story related to your niche. You can, like Sean sometimes does, use a parable to make your point. Or you can write something about a personal experience or an anekdote. That works too. They show the person behind the profile picture. Also when you write about something else than marketing you can reach a new audience. May 4th 2011 19:29 |

Tutorial videos, sci-fi writerPaula, thanks for your last comment, it is very nice and thoughtful. Joseph, I never put pressure on anyone to top an article, it has to come from their heart. An article that shows APSense in a negative light can not get a top from me, sorry to be so blunt. I do appreciate the discussion we have, even though it does not have much to with positive thinking and seeing what we have instead of what was there before. 18 months ago, APSense was at 45,000. Being close to 4,000 is not very good. Show me business social networks that still get hundreds of new members every week apart from the ones that require not much effort. We have a better ranking than Swom, IMfaceplace, Sweeva, and most others I guess. May 4th 2011 19:36 |

I think that there is honest and dishonest effort and we should not excuse the last one. Example: I read an article with construction and spelling mistakes but clearly the guy experienced the situation he was writing about and had strong opinion on it. I think he was from China.It was authentic and I liked it. This is what I want when I read an article. To plagiarize is the BIG mistake around the internet, or, one mistake that I'm very touchy about, to steal images.Internet is a jungle for those who create text, images, virtually anything. Now, I think we must educate the others, us, the ones who care about it and know about it, to this simple idea: do not copy, if you use others content, name the source, name your inspiration, use quotation - it will make you more respectable to the eyes of others, believe me. And if this people are just now arriving to internet world it's a good time to teach them this basic rules. These rules apply also outside internet and possibly in their own countries. It's not a strange concept. (See, I can't stop preaching!) Plus, Google does not like duplicate content at all and that should be enough to keep folks away from doing it. May 4th 2011 19:42 |

Tutorial videos, sci-fi writerBelinha, the Google duplicate content rule applies to having 2 identical pages on the same site. You can copy the same page in many sites, it won't matter at all. I agree with you, we can educate the members, but telling them what they do is crap, or telling them only in 2007 were there good articles writtten won't help to keep them around, they will too much pressure to please us. Let's take them by the hand. One place where I agree to be harder, is when a member keeps acting in annoying ways after being told repeatedly it was not appreciated. But you know what ? A few months ago, there was a member who kept harassing me with awkward private messages. I kept trying to explain to him that I didn't understand his behavior. Well, it turned out he was having real problems understanding English. He appreciated my patience, now he keeps telling me how he likes what I do. :) So, it was never harassment, he was just trying and failing to make understand that in the first place. He wanted to learn how to do things correctly at APSense. Joseph, tell you what: Edit your article, encourage the readers to not only read your article but also the discussion that is taking place, and I will top it. Deal ? May 4th 2011 19:59 |
Despite the unusual title, this is one APSense article that should be compulsory reading for any member.
It's disappointing and frustrating that I had to go through 6 pages of articles that, judging from their title and excerpt, were not worth making a comment. Well, a constructive and positive comment, that is. And so many of these "articles" have been topped.
It's not just here at APSense that we have to wade through this material just thrown up to fill a space or to hang a few links on. At another site today I saw some obviously cut and paste (PLR?) stuff "liked" by a well-know and respected blog expert. Makes me respect that "liker" just a little less, and tells me to steer clear of the person (putting herself forward as an life coaching expert ) who posted the copied article. What makes it worse is, in responding to a comment she took credit for the article.
Yes, this title did work. It made me stop and read the article. Thanks!
