You Don't Need Another Guru--BE The Guru

Okay, that was just for fun, but watching it reminded me of a very important fact that I want to remind everyone of today.

You don't need another Guru.

Be honest for a few minutes, and don't be too hard on yourself for engaging in a little self-honesty. Do you really need another $24.95 program designed by a Guru to help you succeed in affiliate marketing? The answer, of course, is no. The thing is, we (and I'm definitely including myself here as someone who has been there and done that) are so easily seduced because we WANT to believe. And you know what? That's not a bad thing in and of itself. Let me take you back to the 80's again for a moment with these lyrics from Bruce Springsteen:

Folks, that kind of spirit is what makes us great. We do find a reason to believe, even when we've been beaten up and cast down. What you need to realize, though, is that you have the same capacity for belief in yourself. Isn't that great to know? You can draw on that same relentless optimism to help you succeed in anything you want. Whatever you desire can become a reality if you can just find a reason to believe.

Let me tell you a few unquestionable facts about every Guru you've ever seen on television or the Internet:

1. They are made of the same stuff you are; the exact same chemical composition.
2. They started with the same tool you have RIGHT NOW: a reason to believe in their ability to succeed.
3. They are no smarter than you are; in fact, quite a few may be dumber judging by the grammatical errors in their emails.

I want to tell you that instead of waiting for the Guru, you can BE the Guru. If you want it badly enough the information you need to increase your success is out there...for FREE. Don't get me wrong. I sell coaching products and services, and I think it's great that there is a market for that. But I will do something the Guru's won't. I'll tell you right now that most of the information I supply in my coaching classes is something you could find yourself if you took the time to look. It might take you a little time, but if you never gave up and found a reason to believe you would find it and apply it.The real value, I suppose, in personal coaching is that you can probably get there faster. There's nothing wrong with that. Of course, the Gurus are going to see to it that you don't get there too fast. Because when you get off the hook they stop making money.

Find a reason to believe in yourself. It's the greatest gift you could give yourself today, and you really are worth it.
