When looking at the Indian Stainless Steel Industry, it is a big competition for many other countries. In India, today, the stainless steel industry is growing at a very amusing rate. Out of the total stainless steel market, 70% of the share that counts to an approximate 1.7 million tones is consumed for kitchen ware and cook ware.  And, this not it, India constitutes about 7% of the world production.

But coming to the Kitchen Ware, there are some precautions and steps to be followed for its maintenance:

  1. Before using a utensil for the first time, it is very necessary to rinse and clean it well with hot water and the washing liquid.
  2. While cooking, it is mandatory to make sure that the diameter of the vessel and the size of the stove are corresponding.
  3. Make sure that the flames of the stove are within the circumference of the base of the stove. Over heating can cause purple or black shades on the vessel.
  4. In case of any stains on the vessels, it should be cleaned with a sponge and an atleast average washing up liquid. Heavier and more stubborn particles should be soaked for some time and then removed. Make sure that you do not rub the utensils hard to remove these stains as it can cause scratches on the vessel. Normally, experts recommend washing these types of tough stains with a mixture of hot water, lemon and vinegar.
  5. Avoid pulling and pushing the vessels hard on the surface as this can cause damage. Always follow all instructions given by the manufacturer on the box.
  6. Always be careful that, while cooking, the pan or pot of stainless steel should be heated properly before actually cooking in it. The maximum it may take is 5-10 mins, not more than that. It also depends on your utensil and the material.
  7. When you cook for the first time in the utensil. Always start off with recipes where sticking is not an issue. Like sauté vegetables, making various sauces, boiling things in water, rice, etc.

Using stainless steel utensils is a very easy task but just needs practice in cooking with them. Stainless steel utensils have the widest variety available in utensils for various purposes. May be in the start when shifting to these utensils can be a little difficult to get used to it, but it all goes fine with practice!
