Treating Sinus Infection (sinusitis) Naturally

by Shir G. Founder and CEO at Gutman Herbs

Reflexology
The reflexology treatment itself releases the blockages in the sinus caves and works for the long term when in the days after the treatment the patient usually reports a feeling of pain relief.
Sometimes and not always, the day after the treatment, the patient will actually feel pain in the face, but then he will feel release and recovery.
This phenomenon is called a "recovery crisis".

Flaxseed Infusion
To make a flaxseed infusion, put 2 teaspoons of flaxseed in a glass of boiling water and cover for 15 minutes, then strain and drink the liquid.
Flax seeds help shield and soothe the mucous membranes of the respiratory system.

Steam Inhalation
Inhalation of water boiled with fresh basil and ginger.
Also using essential oils, such as lavender, eucalyptus, and mint, may facilitate breathing, soften phlegm, and help get it out.
The oils can be poured into a burner for distribution in the room, or drip into a bowl of boiling water and lean over it with a towel that wraps around the head and prevents the 'escape' of steam.
It is advisable to perform the last process with the eyes closed (to prevent eye irritation) and repeat it several times a day.

Naturopathy
The goal of treatment when the acute condition is is to soothe the pain, drain the accumulated mucus in the sinuses, and treat the infection.
Treatment will include the use of herbs, nutrition, and supplements that help stimulate the immune system and reduce inflammatory processes.
