Treat Dandruff with Honey
Organic honey may be used in treating dandruff problems.
It is quite amazing to discover that a material as simple as honey has been found to help alleviate an embarrassing scalp problem that most hair care products have not succeeded in curing. Studies have shown that the use of honey helps to both treat and protect the scalp from dandruff. Honey is both able to provide temporary and permanent relief to the scalp. Honey helps in targeting dandruff extinction. In a study, it was observed that when honey was diluted with about 10% of warm water and applied to a problematic area of the scalp and left for about three hours, before it was rinsed, there was a fast eradication of itching and a complete relief to the scalp within one week of its application. The lesions of the skin were healed completely within two weeks.
An explanation for the reason for dandruff is that they are caused by an overgrowth of the natural skin’s pathogens which include fungi that is known as dermatophytes. With honey possessing an excellent broad range of antibacterial and antifungal properties, it also has a remarkable wound healing as well as anti-inflammatory properties that make it appropriate for the treatment of inflammatory and skin conditions associated with pathogens. Honey is widely known and considered as one of the best of nature’s richest gifts to mankind.
You can also use honey to make your feet and hands look soft and young. Hands and feet will often show more about your age than you realize. If you take care of your hands and feet by keeping them soft you can do wonders for your age. You can use honey in manicure and pedicure treatments. You may also want to clean your feet and hands before applying the honey treatment. The solution to be applied for your hands and feet is simple to make. You simply need to take one-fourth cup of honey, mix it with four liters of water and combine a bit of shampoo and your favorite essential oil. You will also need to put your solution in a bowl and then you will need another bowl or bucket large enough to place your feet in. Soak your nails and your feet in the water for 15 minutes. Once your skin has softened, then it is time to scrub the dead skin off. You should use a cuticle pusher to clean off the nails and a pumice stone to scrub the bottoms of your feet. You can scrub and repeat until you feel you have removed all the dead skin. When you are sure you have all the dead skin off you then need to rinse off your feet and marvel at the radiant new skin that was underneath all the dead skin. Thus honey can be seen having its great properties in maintaining health and hygiene optimally.
