Tottenham signed a permanent deal with Real Betis' Giovani Lo Celso

On 28 January 2020, Tottenham declared the permanent signing of Real Betis star Giovani Lo Celso who joined the club in summers on loan.

Back, on 31 August 2018, the midfielder signed a loan-contract with Tottenham which also included an option of making the youngster permanent. And recently, the Spur announced on their official social account that they have revised that contract and made him a full-time member of the English club; the deal would last until 2025.  

On the other hand, Tottenham made another significant change in their squad by selling Christian Eriksen. The youngster served the team for 6.5 years then departed for Inter Milan.

The Spurs are expecting Giovani to be the everlasting substitute for Christian; the midfielder is considered to be the most innovative player of EPL during his spell with Tottenham.

The 23-years-old started at a low pace in Spur, as he had to handle injury issues and some other situations. However, in the late few weeks, the midfielder has been showing some very positive signs.

Celso had shown some excellent skills by controlling the ball at tight places and pushing back defenders of the opposite side. Recently, he also showcased an outstanding performance and helped Spur taking the lead against Southampton in their FA Cup match. Spur is paying a lot amount of money in bringing the youngster in. So, Giovani would be in a high pressure of improving his skills and providing the kind of output that Tottenham is expecting from him in return.

The next coming years, Tottenham will see him as a playmaking core of the club. Keeping in mind his positive attitude in the team and popularity among the supporters, the signs are that Tottenham would not be regretting the decision of making this transfer a regular.
