FDA to recemmend remdesivir officially for coronavirus treatment

On Wednesday, researches delivered a piece of good news about possible treatment of novel coronavirus by showing the satisfactory results of their experimental drug trials of remdesivir. According to them, the drug is beneficial in recovering the patients quickly from the disease. FDA, the US Food and Drug Administration didn’t approve any drug yet, officially for the treatment of COVID-19. But, it seems they are planning to approve an emergency-use of the drug remdesivir, says The New York Times.

A research conducted by the US government-funded department revealed that COVID patients who are treated with remdesivir dose recovered so much fast as compared to those patients who didn’t take the drug. The US federal agency is trying to give a slight hope to the public in these deadly pandemic crises, which has affected more than 1 million people with the deaths of 61500 Americans. Therefore FDA will soon approve remdesivir as coronavirus treatment, officially. 

Furthermore, the head of NIAID (National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases) gave positive signs about the results of the remdesivir experiment.

At the White House, in a meeting with a President, Doctor Anthony Fauci stated that stats suggest that remdesivir showed a remarkable, positive, and significant effect in reducing the recovery time from the deadly novel coronavirus. The results from initial drug trials express as fast as 11 to 15 days of recovery time for the virus patients.
