German public opposes the idea of Bundesliga return inside empty stadiums
As the German Top-Flight is waiting anxiously for the league to restart as early as possible, meanwhile a DW has conducted a survey exposing that only one-third of the nation want the football to return on its premises again, behind the closed gates.
Whereas, 49 percent (approximately half) of those surveys suggested that the German public is opposing the idea of Bundesliga to restart its games without fans in the stadium, which is known as “Ghost Games.”
The survey carried down by the research institute Infrastest dimap disclosed a marked change in opinion from the fans since the beginning of the previous month. At that time, about 52 percent of the German population agreed to the continuation of the ghost games, whereas about 30 percent population was opposing it.

In both of these surveys, 18 percent of people were those who were either not interested in the games or didn’t know what to answer.
Everyone is waiting for Chancellor Angela Merkel’s final say about the decision; meanwhile she is all ready to hold a video meeting on Thursday where the leaders of all 16 states suggest their ideas in front of the Chancellor and then may take the final decision.

The occupational safety and health measures for coaches, players, and staff members will specifically be ensured, if the league returns to action, says the SPD Njorn Bohning while talking to the RND media group.
Anja Stahmann, who is a sports senator of Bremen, stated that a continuation of German football without fans is still possible in the mid of May or the end of the month, as long as DFL promises the strict sanitizing measures.
