Overcome the myths related with the fuel economy

by Paul Busby CEO @Viezu
How to control fuel efficiency of the vehicles has become the matter of debate among the motorists in the internet world. Because going through the regular hike in the fuel prices across the world driving and maintaining the car has become a daunting task for car owners, due to which they are searching for the options which are helpful in controlling the expenses on fuel. This might surprise you but that there are lots of motorists who even do not hesitate in following the myths which are claimed to offer fuel efficiency results.

On the contrary, today going through the necessity of fuel economy there are various methods like ECU tuning, ECU remapping, Chip tuning etc which are helpful in not only enhancing the fuel economy but also power generation efficiency of any vehicle. But the disappointing thing that despite adopting those methods car owners are blindly following the misleading methods which on the contrary impact the drivability of their vehicle.

Well before discussing the realistic methods of increasing fuel efficiency of a vehicle let us have a look at the prevailing myths that are endorsed to enhance fuel performance of any car.
1. New cars offer fuel-efficient figures: There is a myth among lots of the car owners that new vehicles deliver better fuel efficiency as compared to older vehicles. Well, this is true, but today going through the increasing concern towards integration of safety and other features car manufacturers are paying attention to an overall performance of the vehicle. Thus, integration other features not only make the new vehicles miles ahead from their predecessors but when a question of fuel economy arises these features overcome the matter.

2. Driving at high speed offers improved fuel efficiency: It is seen that most of the motorists believe that driving at high speed offers high fuel efficiency. This myth is totally a misleading concept because doing this not only increases the chances of the accident but also impacts the working efficiency of different mechanical components. On the contrary, the efficiency of fuel starts declining after you have attained the top speed of 95 km/ph, it would, therefore, be better for a driver to drive at the speed below this speed.

3. Big engines deliver better fuel efficiency: If you also think that driving a car empowered with a big engine offers better fuel efficiency as the engine need not have to work more then again you are at an edge of doing a big mistake. If you are driving a car that is enriched with the four-cylinder engine then expecting it to deliver the performance of an empowered with V6 or V8 engine will be a total injustice. To enjoy an economical performance of your car it will be better to drive it at the speed that is determined by it.

4. Filling premium fuel in the vehicle offers improved fuel efficiency: If you think that filling a premium fuel will deliver an improved fuel efficient figures then again you are doing a big mistake. This is just a myth explored by the fuel supplying companies for enhancing their sales. The cars launched in the market are capable of offering improved fuel efficiency even with a lower octane level.

If you are misguided by these myths for improving the fuel efficiency of your vehicle then it would be better to follow the pragmatic practices. As referred above today there are various methods like ECU tuning, ECU remapping, Chip tuning etc that are helpful in improving the fuel efficiency of a vehicle.  Today the cars that you drive are computerized and therefore mechanism under the bonnet is controlled through the software, upgrading the software with the new program is helpful in enhancing the fuel efficiency according to your desired expectations. One such software is Blue Optimize, installing this software in your car is helpful in improving the fuel economy to the huge extent. The results achieved by blue optimizing the vehicle are referred below:
1. 20% savings on fuel investment;
2. 20% decline in emission levels;
3. No impact on warranty and residual value of the vehicle;
4. No mechanical change in the vehicle;
5. Can be installed in the span of an hour;
6. The vehicle can be reset to its original position without any trouble;
7. No specific maintenance required.

 From the above discussion, I hope it is clear that despite believing in publicly promoted myths it is better to adopt a holistic approach to improving the fuel economy of the vehicle without affecting its mechanism.
