Nowadays, most of pig ration are taken corn - soybean meal in farms around the world, in terms of corn and soybean based diets for pigs and amino acid requirements, lysine and methionine are the first and second limiting amino acids, so often be added as extra additives.
Essential amino acids in pig including lysine, methionine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, Leucine, isoleucine, valine and threonine. Soybean meal is rich in lysine and tryptophan, and corn containing more methionine, so with corn and soybean meal, amino acids can complement and achieve better nutritional balance.
Lacking of essential amino acids, the protein synthesis reduce within body, causing a series of body protein metabolism, enzymes synthesis problems, the most important manifestations is growth retardation, and even lead to metabolic diseases.
Lysine is mainly used for protein deposition, are rarely involved in the regulation of metabolic processes. While the role of methionine complex, except protein deposition, also closely related to the in vivo metabolism of sulfur-containing compounds, in addition, playe an important role in methylation and detoxification on poisons or drugs by using its methyl.
