Know about Jaipur National University

Jaipur National University (JNU) is one of the private universities located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It was established on October 22, 2007, via an ordinance of the Rajasthan government.

The university offers interdisciplinary programs – both regular and distance. Overall, Jaipur National University offers 44 courses – undergraduate as well as post graduate. One of the flagship programs of the varsity is B.Tech.

Students can opt for one of the 8 branches offered by the university - Bio Technology, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Food Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The fees structure for four years is Rs. 3.4 lakh. The admission criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and for the final selection one should secure the minimum marks or rank in the pre-defined entrance exam.

The placement records are moderate. In 2015, the average placement package offered to students was Rs. 2 lakh per annum, while the highest and lowest were Rs. 3.5 lakh and Rs. 1.4 lakh respectively.
