Getting a Job: Jewelry to Wear to an Interview
If you were interviewed, congratulations!
First you need to figure out what to wear and how to match your jewelry.
General Tips for Job Seekers Whether it's the first step in your career after graduation or working your way up the ladder, dress like you have the job you want. When it comes to your clothing, the choice may depend on your industry, your region, and workplace regulations. It also works on your jewelry and other accessories.

Any job seeker knows that getting a résumé or resume through the selection process is an accomplishment in and of itself. Now that you have face-to-face time, you want to make the most of the opportunity. The same rules apply to job fairs: You'll meet with a recruiting representative and you want to look your best. No matter what you do, you want to look polished.

keep things simple
This applies to everyone. The focus should be on you, not the clothes you wear. Unless, of course, you're interviewing for a job in the fashion industry, it doesn't hurt to show off a bit of your unique style.

Wear earrings, but keep them small and simple. Rivets, gold, silver, pearls or diamonds, subtly outline a face. Small diameter rings are also a nice accent. During the interview process, you will have many face-to-face conversations. Large rings, dangling earrings, or whimsical patterns can distract others from what you have to say. Even if you have multiple ear piercings, stick with one pair on this one.

Wear plain rings. It is completely correct and appropriate to wear your engagement ring or wedding ring. On the other hand, if you want to wear a ring, avoid something big and flashy. A simple diamond ring or Claddagh ring is sophisticated and appropriate. A class ring or sorority ring would also be nice, but this is not the time to layer rings, mid-length rings, or wear them on multiple fingers.

The same goes for necklaces. Although layering is in fashion, avoid layered necklaces. Pearls, whether on a string or pendants, are a classic choice.

Be careful with the bracelets. A string of bracelets jingling around your wrist can distract your interviewer. Leather wraps and bracelets are not formal enough. A beautiful watch will refresh your look.

No matter what field you're in, once you get the job, you'll have more freedom to express yourself through your jewelry and other accessories. This does not mean that you should hide your identity during the interview. But you want the focus to be on you, what you're saying, and what you can do.
