DJI - Mavic Pro Platinum - Drone With 12 MP Camera, Silver

It is now 3 months that I own the Mavic Pro and I decided to publish the review only now, given the complexity of the product.

Meanwhile, a praise for the Amazon service: the first sample arrived in mid-July had a flaw, the first 2 minutes of video shooting were often ruined by a flicker effect ("jelly"); after a bit of internet research and contacts with the DJI service, the conclusion was that it should have been fixed, but I was replaced in a few days without problems: thanks again Amazon!

Let's go back to Mavic: it's my first drone, it's not a toy, even if you fly very easily and it's incredibly autonomous to handle take-off, landing, and above all it stays absolutely still in the air (even in windy conditions) if you do not any operation, thus giving time to think about what you want to do.

It is also exciting to use, it will be for the cost, the possibilities it offers or for the incredible shots and photos, it really opens up a new world to explore.

If used within the required limits does not require any particular permissions, it is considered like a model aircraft for fun; it is, however, appropriate to stipulate a non-compulsory insurance (a few tens of €).

I defined it as complex because in fact there are many things to learn, the DJI GO 4 application has dozens and dozens of settings even if it is true that the default ones are fine in most cases; the possibility of making effective shots, which surely arouse surprise in those who look at them, adds commitment to piloting, just to get the best results.

I recommend to those who approach this object to look on the internet: there are many videos and articles about it to get a precise idea.

Even the very large world of accessories requires some attention in the choice, those that I think really need are a spare battery, some filters for the camera, the hood and small extensions to raise it from the ground if you want to leave eg. from a meadow.

In conclusion, it is an engaging product, those who buy it put into account that it is necessary to spend some time to make the most of it, but the results in terms of fun and the extraordinary shots that can be made certainly pay off.
