Bundesliga Clubs Generated a revenue of 4 Billion Euros this Season
German Clubs helped Bundesliga raising 4.34 billion US Dollars (4.02 billion Euros) for the first time in the history of German football in the 2018/19 season.
This year's DFL Economic report stated that it is the 15th successive revenue-generating record for the Bundesliga; plus, it represents 5.4 percent raise as compared to the previous season.
Christian Seifert, who is DFL Executive Committee's speaker, wrote on the DFL's web portal that they have collaborated with their partners in the recent years and made the German football a highly successful sector, which is helping the country's economy is a great way.
He further added that both Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 are participating amazingly in the nation's economic stability. Plus, the organization is developing vastly, which would enhance its growth in both the digital innovation sector and the international front.
Apart from the main German top-flight, Bundesliga 2 also showed some convincing and extraordinary results in generating revenue. The league witnessed a record-revenue of 844 million dollars (782 million euros) during the 2018/19 season, which was 28.5 percent more than the previous one. Moreover, the report says, the business deals made by professional Bundesliga clubs also have an economic and fiscal effect on the country. In total, both Bundesliga 1 and Bundesliga 2 have paid duties and taxes worth of 10 billion euros to the social security institutions and tax authorities of the government in the last ten seasons, which also include the latest record revenue of 1.4 billion euros of 2018-19 season.
It's true that football game is expensive, and they invest heavily in different leagues, including Bundesliga. But in, return they contribute significantly to the country's economic conditions and helps them stabilizing the economy. So, it is a combined version of both entertainment and business.
