4 Simple tips to get a better Event photos in Dubai
You have one opportunity to capture the moment, before it is gone forever. Event Photography or capturing action photos is one of the hardest but the fun part of being a photographer. If you chose this line of photography you have to take note these 5 simple tips to get a better event photos.
Be Prepared
Before you even leave the house make sure you plan already
all your equipment. Extra batteries,
Extra memory card, batteries for flash, tripod and of course the right lens for
this kind of Event. As a Photographer, I
am not a fan of switching lenses while shooting for an Event. The second you switch your lens is also the
same perfect moment to capture a photo.
And also, bringing a lot of lens carry a heavy load in your bag. So I suggest bring the right one lens for an
Event.
I recommend to write down all the things you need to bring 2
days before, charge all the batteries and reformat all your memory card to have
enough space. In my experience, I need
to have 1 extra battery for a 4hours Event and 1 extra memory card for an
8hours of event.
Switch to continues shot/Burst mode
I suggest switching your camera to continue shot. It’s better to have 10 same shot for a single
moment than to have not captured at all.
I know that 3 out of 10 photos are a good shot so it’s a good try. I remember when I was to photograph the
coming of the Sheikh to my clients Exhibition stand and I
forgot to switch to burst mode, I only have 1 shot of it before I was dragged
away by his bodyguards. I am very
disappointed. From then on, I always make
sure to switch it to burst mode.
Capture from Start to Finish
Every event has a story.
Try to capture it from beginning until end. Event
photography is also a lot of fun.
You can see different emotions of different people, and capturing it is
really priceless.
Be mindful of the schedule
Schedule is very important to a photographer. So the photographer can place himself ready
to the right spot before a moment to happen.
For example in a wedding
ceremony, you should know the flow of the event to be ready and also to
plan your next move. Timeline is very important;
it will save you a second in running towards the bride and the groom.
And most importantly is to have fun,
enjoy what you’re doing and you don’t get tired. Don’t be afraid to randomly take a shot,
sometimes the result is very amazing.
