How Professional are You?
I hate to be deceived,
And I have been bamboozled!
And I have been bamboozled!
I had a message to call a gentleman, he had questions
about NPN.
I returned the phone call and started a chit chat
conversation with him.
He first started out asking me about iKarma and that lead
to talking about
APSense. He very lightly touched on the subject of how long I had been with NPN.
I was beginning to wonder where this was all leading but I continued to listen.

He then asked me if people ever said "No Thanks" to
me.
Don't you think that an odd question?
I told him many but that was OK.
He then went onto ask if I ever removed any of them from my list. I told him I saw no
reason to remove them. Until they ASKED to be REMOVED they could remain
there.

He proceeded to explain to me that he was sure many of
those people were sending
my emails straight to SPAM or the TRASH folder.

I was wondering where this was all going but I didn't want
to rush the talker.
He said "don't you think that they would be better served if you offered them a
"Professional Referral" ?
OK OK I'll Bite!
"What do you mean by a "Professional Referral"
The talker proceeded to explain to me that since these people were obviously NOT
going to do business with me.... by telling them I am sorry that we are not able to
do business together, I would like to have a very good friend of mine call you,
he is a real nice guy. He has something that he has shared with me and I am sure
you will like it.

"That Cindy is a Professional
Referral!"
WELL!!!...................................I guess I am NOT professional because I certainly
would NOT be doing that. When he questioned "why not" I simple told him I just must be
extremely Unprofessional!
Isn't that a Hoot?
I wanted to really tell him what I thought but I remained a lady and bit my lip to keep from laughing.

I didn't know this man from the man in the moon, yet I was
suppose to pass on my leads to him
simply because I really was not using them. I guess I am totally Unprofessional.

The initial phone call to me was nothing more than a bait
and switch.
I hate devious people.
How about you?
Are you Unprofessional as well?

Isn't it weird how these devious people, who have devised sneaky ways to try to sell you something, also have a tendency to use loaded terms, like professional, to suit their own purposes.
Professional used to mean much more than the way your caller used it. Professional referral sounds much better than spammer doesn't it?
I encourage you continue in your "unprofessional" manner, and thanks for this account of the conversation.
Will you please add me to your Unprofessional list?
