Childrens Museum of Phoenix Houses Great Family Fun
Phoenix, Arizona is awash with wonderful neighborhoods and communities. Along with the beautiful Phoenix homes, there are plenty of places for families to enjoy spending time together, one of which is the Children?s Museum of Phoenix. The Children's Museum of Phoenix is located in the historic Monroe School building, at the corner of 7th Street and Van Buren in the heart of downtown Phoenix. The Museum offers 45,000 square feet of exhibit space, and presents 500 educational programs per year. Centrally located with on-site parking, its location is convenient to freeways and light-rail stops, and is also close to other downtown destinations such as US Airways Center, the Arizona Science Center, Chase Field and the Civic Center.
According to the Museum?s website, the Museum?s hands-on interactive exhibits are designed to engage the minds, muscles and imaginations of children up to age 10 and the grown-ups who care about them. Visitors can make a meal in the Texture Caf?, navigate their way through Noodle Forest, or relax and share a story in the Book Loft.
The Children?s Museum of Phoenix opened to the public in June of 2008. In its first two years of operation, the Museum welcomed over half a million visitors and boasts over 5,000 member families, which equals approximately 15,000 individual members.
