Finding Lulu...
I just wanted to share what I recently learned from someone I believe has the right attitude to home based business and network marketing; especially for women who let's face it are too busy picking up the pieces left by men who are busy "exploding their business".
Ladies, there is a way you can succeed in your business, and it's easier than you think.
Kim Klaver calls it finding Lulu.
I'm going to borrow her analogy here because I think it's perfect.
Imagine shopping for a pair of sports shoes (you're a size 8 narrow, your preferred colour is white, and you love the Nike brand) - so what do you do? You go shopping for a Nike sports shoe, size 8 narrow, white. Right?
Sure, there are hundreds of other shoes out there and yes, they are all saying "pick me pick me!", but you know what you want and you go and get it.
Guess what, there are thousands of people who are exactly like you, which is why Nike produces thousands of shoes just like those.
So, what does this have to do with Lulu. Well, Lulu is just like you - she wears a size 8 narrow, prefers white and guess what she is crazy about Nike, and she is looking for exactly that shoe.
In general terms Lulu represents your niche market, and guess what your fortune is going to be in your niche market, why? Because these are people just like you, they will probably have a similar buying pattern; but it's not just about pushing your product in the faces of all those people, cos if you're anything like me that would put me right off.
So, what do you do? Well, think about the last time you bought something? Did you notice that you bought more often when someone told you about the difference the product made to their lives? Well that's what you do; tell them about what this product has done for you, they are more likely to want to have that or a similar experience.
I came across Kim Klaver, through Success University, where I am a student, and was instantly blown away by her frankness and openness to marketing. I wanted to know more so I looked up her blog and came across her podcasts. I bought her book. This stuff just makes sense and I would highly recommend her to anyone who was interested in finding out just how to stop wasting time with the wrong customer, and spending quality time building a high quality business.
There are some real simple, common sense steps (my mother says that's the thing about common sense, its not common practice) that anyone, and I mean anyone can apply to marketing and building their business.
I would need a little more space to go through the steps here, but it suffices to say, this stuff just makes sense. I highly recommend her podcasts they're are a great training tool.
Anyway, like I said, I just believe in sharing important information.
To your success,
Dora
