The day the earth shook....in London?
Hi Guys,
I was working late last night when all of a sudden I heard a stamping noise on my roof.
What was anyone doing up on my roof?
Before I had a chance to get up and check it out, my bed started shaking!!!
It felt like a scene out of Poltergeist, I was freaked people, to say the least.
I thought I was imagining it, but I couldn't have been because my bed was actually shaking!!!
Anyway, looking at the clock on the task bar of my laptop screen, it said 01:16, I figured I had better get to bed. I had an early start next morning.
I looked at the clock again and it was 01:24. Weird!
Where'd the time go?
Anyway,
I was way tired and went to bed.
Everything was quiet.
Found out today, there was an earthquake!!!
Apparently Britain experienced the largest earthquake (measuring a whopping 5.1 on the Richter scale) recorded in the last 25 years, and apparently most of people in Britain slept right through it.
LOL, just like us Brits, we can sleep through anything, even an earthquake!
Have a great day!

Didn't know you were a brit! Just goes to show.
Personally, I was one of those who slept through it. Mind you, doubt I'd have noticed it as any different from the noise and shakings caused by the wind lately. Boy, I wish that would drop it's noise levels a few decibels!

Can't remember ever feeling an earthquake, or even a tremor, during
the few years I lived in the UK as a child or as an adult.
Very unusual - wonder if it's got anything to do with climate change?
