Who do you see when you read a blog?
Hi Guys,
I started this blog about five times
because I couldn't get the intro right.
And suddenly it dawned on me, Dora, if you need
to be writing and re-writing something that is
supposed to flow from your heart then something is wrong.
This is not a mid-term paper, or a thesis, it's a simple
voicing of your thoughts in the moment.
And that got me thinking, what is blogging really all about?
Do we really need to be perfect bloggers?
I suppose you could argue yes, because get it right and it
could explode your business, get it wrong and you could find
yourself in the "Outer Mongolia" of cyberspace.
And then I wondered, how many times do we allow ourselves to
write from true inspiration?
We spend so much time making sure the information we post
in our blogs is factual, accurate and up-to-date, and all this is
very, very important. However, it would be a shame to lose
our true selves in the process of getting our blogs "just right".
I recently wrote a blog about my experience in network marketing.
I didn't really edit it, I just let it flow, and I felt so good
writing it and sharing something that was really important to me.
It's true that blogging is one of the internet marketer's most
effective advertising tools, and there is an art to getting the
balance just right, however people, I don't really think we
need to beat ourselves up if our blog lacks the finesse and
polish of some of the more seasoned bloggers.
Ask any of this group of literary masters and you will find that
most of them will tell you successful blogging is all about:
Knowing what you want to say,
Making a positive contribution,
Being true to yourself,
Telling it with integrity and honesty,
and most importantly
Telling it from the heart.
And you know something?
I absolutely agree with them.
So the next time you set down to write your masterpiece, simply
ask yourself this question.
Who do you want your readers to see when they read your blog?
Here's to you and your continued success,
Dora

Blog definitions are varied from chronological listings to bits and pieces of thought processes and sharing of moments in a writer's life. I agree that blog posts should be spontaneous to the moment of the thought sharing; however, sometimes it is a good idea to write down thoughts that that are somewhat controversal or at least keep blog posts regarding conflicting subject matter brief. Visitors will be happy to "fill voids" :)

Great blog subject, Dora. I don't feel the need to write perfect masterpieces, but I really do want people to walk away feeling as if they learned something, or inspired. To me, a blog is a place I want read what others are doing that affects their lives. I am more apt to return to blogs that are positive in nature and have thoughtful ideas about age old problems.

EXCELLENT! To me, that's what blogging is about. We're all human beings and we all want to know who is the person writing behind the screen. If we don't write from our heart, from where we're at, we're holding back and people always feel that.
That not writing from our heart center prevents trust, the most important factor in relationships, including internet business relationships, fr

Can't argue about in the least about what you have posted.
Tis truly diificult at times to write exactly what you feel. At least it is for me.
Everyone needs to try and interject their true self into blogs. It is after all what keeps the blog alive and gives it pesonality
