Nothing Beats Childlike Enthusiasm!
Sometimes it is good to be reminded of the power of childlike enthusiasm.
Here's a little story:
My nephew Caleb is 2 years old. He loves music and is naturally talented, which is not surprising because he comes from a very musical family. There are eight of us in our family, and we all either sing or play an instrument at church.
About two weeks ago Caleb started coming to my room (I am his favourite aunt) and setting up a little drum kit made up of things he would find in my room. He was very particular about the setup, making sure everything was just like the electric drum kit his uncle plays at church. He would use pens from my desk as his drum sticks and kneel there in front of his home-made kit, sometimes for about an hour, just playing and singing his little heart out.
Sometimes he would ask me to sing a song so he could play along. It was so great just watching him play (and he's got rhythm too!); he was so happy and that really made me happy.
It's hard to think that this is the same child that we nearly lost when he was born (the delivery was very difficult because he was faced the wrong way, and both mum and baby were struggling, but thank God he was born naturally!)
Anyway, back to my story.
Caleb would play his drums in my room and put everything away when he was finished, and like I said he did this for about two weeks, without really saying anything to anyone, apart from me of course, if I was in my room.
Well, would you believe it, last Sunday my sister came home from church with an electric drum kit under her arm.
"Who's is that?" I asked.
"It's Caleb's. Josh [Caleb's uncle] bought another one and give this one to Caleb" she replied.
I laughed. Talk about your law of attraction!
I asked my sister if Caleb had asked Josh for the kit, and she told me that he hadn't, Josh said he just felt like giving it to Caleb.
Isn't that amazing?
If a 2yr old can do it, so can you.

Hi Dora,
How true is that, all you really have to do is ask for it and you shall recieve what you desire. I am a firm believer in this have no idea how it works but it really works.....He sounds like a real neat kid with a dream already amazing is it not. Yes if he can do why can't we, l think we spend too much time thinking about all the reason why it can't happen instead of thinking that it can happen..............
