Do Flavors Add More Calories in Vodka?
It’s an interesting question: “do flavors add calories in vodka?â€
The answer appears to be that they add very few calories, perhaps only 5 calories to the 65 to 80 calories in the vodka (depending on the proof of the vodka).
But, what is a flavor? Do you mean just a bit of flavoring essence or do you mean a mixer?
Flavoring essence has very few calories (and, in my opinion, very little real flavor). But mixers tend to be high in calories.
So, if you’re a vodka lover trying to lose weight, I guess one solution is to drink flavored vodka with ice and no mixer.
Do be careful if you go this route because you will have to drink MUCH more slowly than your drinking companions or be prepared to leave the party early.
Sorry, but there really is no easy answer to the drink and lose weight equation. If you want to lose weight you just have to ingest fewer calories and burn more.
Temptation is the battle ground. You need loads of willpower to lose weight. If you don’t have the willpower at the moment you need to understand yourself better so that you can find the motivation to help yourself.
I have produced 12, ten-minute videos in my Magic Hats series to help you understand yourself better and develop stronger willpower. They’re yours for free all you have to do is click this link: calories in vodka.

I'm a vodka fan as well as a taster of all spirits, fine wine and beer...
I love food and cooking, but my weight has never been a problem because I am also a very physical person.
I love using my body-- Walking, Running, Bicycling, Rock Climbing, you name it... At age 55, my weight is nearly the same as it was 25 years ago... My metabolism is "Hot" and so I'm very active internally as well... Flavours in Vodka don't hold much of a concern for me, as long as they are natural flavours, no

And not drinking much doesn't help at all! It's not the vodka, it's
the chocs and cake that put the weight on. Lack of exercise is
a big problem too. Gotta develop that will power.
I promised Nina I'd read 5 blogs and tag them - You have been tagged,

I suppose this is not only applicable to Vodka, but to all mixed drinks? Bacardi-Cola, Rum-Cola, all the Breezers and the like... Probably all a no-go area if I'm overweight? And, after having lost the extra pounds, I think I should go and have a look for low-calorie altenatives.. Does that mean no alcohol?
