Why Would Anyone Want a Private APSense Group?
Almost all the groups created by members of APSense are public, which means any member can join and participate in the group.
However, there is the option to set a group to private, allowing the creator the right to approve members before they can join.
So why would anyone want a private group?
APSense is the perfect place to host a club for your downline in any given program. Not only can you communicate with everyone in one place, but you can increase your APSense referrals. The creator of such a group would naturally only wish to include members of their downline, as messages and subjects could be private
Some groups are by their very nature exclusive - a group for professional writers or artists would most likely only accept members who are actually professionals in the required area.
A group might even be private simply to attract members. Sometimes people who may not normally join a group will sign up if they feel special about being accepted.
For whatever reason a group creator makes his or her group private, all members of Apsense are eligible to apply for membership. Simply check the criteria for members, and click to join as usual if you think it appropriate for you. Your application will be sent to the group creator for review, and you will be advised by message when your request is either accepted or declined.

Hi Penny,
Isn't it funny how looking at something from a different perspective can completely change how you feel about it?
Although, I'd never given this issue a thought in either direction, your title caught my eye and made me curious. Once I'd read your thoughts, it gave me "pause to ponder". You've raised some very interesting points.
And you've given me an idea for getting my members over here to introduce them to the site.
Thanks so much.

I have had an account for more than a year and just found a mega opportunity to start buiding a private network to offer group members' exclusive personal promotions, that fits along with promotions I am already involved with online :)

This is a great idea!

But this suggestion gives me very good answer what to use apsense for. It's a great resource here, agree with that, but is slow community (I mean grow very slow, small community but great concept, mostly with resources, you can offe

LOL ... Cheryl, I think that Geezer group better be public!
Lisa, I think that might actually be the initial reaction of some people. Private doesn't have to mean rude ... : ) Thanks for the nice comments.

A Queensland winemaker? Most of the wine comes from further south, but I've heard that Queensland has a growing industry. Well best of luck to him!

Jeff you are a funny guy! Glad you like an Aussie red, although I prefer a Merlot myself. I will laugh if I ever see the "P.W.L.T.W.P.A.D.V.D.W.S.A.S." Group appear in the list.

I normally am not a 'Joiner", so I am flattered when someone asks me to join their group or be my contact...
There thing about private groups might be that they are themed to attract certain people with like interests, with no chance of surprise responses from strangers...
Also there are some people who simply like the exclusive aspects of Private Memberships... Guess it's and ego thing....
I probably would never venture to start a private group here at Apsense, because I researched
