A question about no scam seals

I saw a program with "no cam seals" on it.
I am not from USA so i don't know them.
Who can tell me if these seals have any value and if the sites listed are legitimate?

I am not sure about this ones:

FEEDBACK FROM EXPERTS:

Thank you Dave Gilbert:uys & Gals Verisign has been a company that has provided trust seals for many many years they are 100% trustworthy and do exhaustive checks on sites bearing their seals, they make sure that not only does the site contain all the right information but that the information is correct and current they also look closely at the business model and soon pick up if the site/opportunity cannot support it's offered income. Versignhttps://verisign.com/trust-seal/index.html?sl=N76RZ-0000-01-00

This looks a very good idea which I have never seen before. Who verifies the verifyers though.

Yes, that is a very good question too. Anyone can start a webesite and give out or sell seals.

The first one internet trade bureau seems to be a forum for reporting and tracking complaints. It also seems that anyone can join and that they only get taken off the list AFTER complaints have been received. They also say that they are a division of Gregory Services LLC. Gregory Services according to their website is a drug testing/employment background screening company. It will take a lot more research on both before I would say that they are 'trustworthy'

Thanks Cheryl. Do you happen to a site that gives out seals that is thrust worthy? When there is such a site I could work the other way around. First look up the companies that have a legitimate seal, see it they have an affiliate program, and than join.

Verisign may seem expensive but then their seal is a guarantee that the company you are dealing with is 100% legal and deals fairly with it's clients the price when you consider they do regular audits of sites bearing their seals becomes quite reasonable

Great question! I know there are multiple ones, I just never needed to remember them so I have none to share. But I look forward to seeing if anyone can provide a good list.

Basically Verisign and Geotrust is the list they are the only ones trusted by a majority of the internet community

@Dave have to agree on that and I personally can not say one is better than the other - if i see either one on a site then It reassures me. Note reassures - I did not say convinces you still need to do your DD.

Your right Bill regardless of what badges appear on a site it is always best to do some background checks before you commit yourself

Scam seals are often faked or duplicated but must link to the listing on the authority site. When you get the business listing it will give a URL to match the licensed name of the company, the business owners information and more. If any of this does not match or the listing has expired you can bet you don't want to do business there.

Thawt, Verisign, Trustee, BBB Online and IHBA are good trusted sources but scammers have also learned to create programs like HYIP Certified Paying and others that are not to be trusted as they traffic for a fee in adding credibility to criminal activity.

In the end trust nobody's ruling above your own investigation. Just like the deal with Kooday, I didn't tell one person trust me I told them here is where I got the information, don't take my word for it, see for yourself.
