When you go on watching an anime you surely get to meet and interact with several characters, which act and carry a certain gimmick. Sure there are lots of characters who are quite evil and are regarded as the most hated, due to their relentless pursuit towards the emotional side of fandom. Or at times, the protagonist has a brutal confrontation in past regarding his ideals or family, which toughen him up to either take revenge or act in a more heroic way and to prevent these incidents from happening again. One Piece is no different from any other and sure holds lot of references and tragic past stories up on his name. Here is the list of top 5 back stories which vigorously touched our heart.

5. Otohime- In process of uniting fishmen society to the rest of the world, Queen Otohims surely had suffered a lot and at the end lost her life at the hands of a celestial dragon. 4.Nami- Since she was the first character ever to be shown in the anime series and 2^nd to join Strawhats, Nami surely hold a brief tragic past. Despite her appearance and character being too cocky, relentless and gold digger, she had a memory of brutal confrontation with the Arlong Pirates. Losing her mother Bellemere, having to work for Arlong, cutting ties with her sister Nojiko and rest of the village and facing lot of problems while collecting 100,000,000 belies to free her village from Arlong possession, she really had a rough and rammed up life. But with the aid of Strawhats, cocayashi got its freedom after 10 long years.

 3.Doflamingo- I’m sure you guys won’t agree with me and gonna hate the very idea of putting Doffy here on the list. I know Doflamingo surely is character of villainous instinct and has done nothing to earn a little bit of respect. But altogether he’s not completely wrong. He was a celestial dragon, highest authority in One piece he sure has to be spoiled brat, infested with dominance over people by birth. He was thrown out of his land and beheaded his father and became a pirate.

2.Trafalgar Law- Law seriously has suffered a lot in his early days. His family died, country set on fire in order to kill everyone to stop the white disease, got infected with white lead and had to join Don Quixote family. Later on he had to bear the greatest pain of losing his Cora-san, whom he looked at as his father figure. His past explicitly would make anyone cry who got a heart to shed tears for others.

1.ASL brothers- Soon after the end of Marineford war, the OP universe were till overcoming the death of their most loved character, Ace and right that very moment Oda- san dropped another shell on us by elaborating the past of Ace and Luffy, and also introduced Sabo as their 3^rd brother. The whole back story of the brothers was quite emotional. Their childhood stories held infamous battles, fun, tragic incidents, disappearance of Sabo and last but not least, the exchange of sake to sew them in same garland. These few moments certainly embarked and brought out the emotions of fans and put them on display. Seriously, OP is certainly OP.
