by Eva Spenser Innovation

So, basically, we want to tell you that if you were thinking that organising the pantry will take a few seconds, you better rethink, because this is one of those places in your house that gets messiest by the end of the day. But if you keep it organised you are likely to gain from easy of access to things, and of course save yourself from a huge level of eyesore. Unless you are hiring pantry organisation professionals, you can follow the tips as mentioned here. We are sure you will be helped.

Starting it off with cleanliness

Well! Your first step will include emptying your pantry and giving it a thorough cleaning before, you can begin with organising the stuff. Now, here is a thing, toss anything which has expired or you haven’t used in the past couple of months or more.

Take over the inventory

After you have cleared all the old items you can easily identify what you need to organise. This is supposed to help you save money on buying new storage containers. Create a list of all the pantry staples which you need and continue updating it. When you step out for grocery shopping take this list along.

Categorising

Place similar items together. Such categorising will help you get easy access to things. For example, you can keep the baking goodies, oil and other snacks together.

Using containers

Yes! Now that you have invested quite a good amount of money on containers. Store all the packaged food in the baskets and save plenty of space. Some odd shaped bags and boxes will fit nicely inside storage containers instead of being loosely stacked together on a shelf. If you have clear glass or plastic containers which happen to have lids, put in dry foods. They are really good for storing dry food.

Labelling

Instead of ransacking your kitchen to get access to an ingredient, you can easily find them once you have labelled the containers. Label the shelves and containers and come to know where you have stored them; so that when you are in hurry you don’t have to open almost every container that you come across just to find what you need. Get the Bluetooth labelling marker for your household so that you can permanently stick the label on the containers and shelves.

Have you utilised the door?

You weren’t expecting this, were you? If you have a big door for a pantry cabinet, use it. So basically, your aim is to use up every usable space to ensure things in the pantry don’t spill out or get lost. One of the, pantry organising tricks, that hasn’t been used in much of the households is, using the door. Hang an organiser on the door and free up as much of shelf space as you can. Get all the canned goodies, oils, spices and jars to fit into the organiser.

A child friendly spot

Fill up the bottom rack with your kid’s favourites. This spot should make it easier for them to grab a grub when they are hungry. Keep this spot separate. Also, get the visibility labelling done on the containers. This will probably let your kids know where the stuff is stored.

Use all the extra wall space

The extra wall space you have in the pantry is a true game changer, especially when you are organising the space. Allow the hooks to hold some of the non-food elements like the aprons, reusable shopping bags and other necessaries. Get a bag dispenser for the grocery bags.

Add some shelf liners

Shelf liners are important. They prevent food from falling underneath the wire shelving. Also, these liners are important for keeping the baskets and all the containers in shape.

Follow these tips if you want to organise your pantry and make it appear clean and organised.
