Telling you the family of ASTM steel pipe

Talking about steel pipe, lots of us would say that “Boss, I need seamless steel pipe or ERW steel pipe for 10 million ton”. Actually, there are so many kinds of types for it in seamless and welded one. Today, our main topic would be ASTM steel pipe.

According to the different original material, we would have the categories of ASTM steel pipe as following types:

ASTM A106: This kind of type concludes carbon steel pipe. It is good for high-temperature service function.

ASTM A335: It has ranged seamless ferritic and alloy-steel pipe for high-temperature service.

ASTM A333: Wall seamless, welded carbon and alloy steel pipe would be concluded here and it was intended for use at low temperatures.

ASTM A312: This specification is for seamless, straight-seam welded, and cold worked welded austenitic stainless steel pipe. It is intended for high-temperature and general corrosive service.

Different types ASTM steel pipe would have relative function and we should choose them according to our engineering project’s need.
