Just Imagine Being Able To Run Your Caravan Or Motorhome Tv By Battery

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

If you have spent any time perusing our online product range, you will have probably got a sense by now that “portable” TVs are among our specialities. As our own popular models demonstrate, a caravan or Motorhome Tv can come in many different and sophisticated forms these days, incorporating all of the features – and perhaps even more – than you may already be accustomed to from your TV at home.

Your average motorhome, caravan or 12 volt TV is certainly capable of more nowadays than the grainy black-and-white images which you may remember from your youth. But what about having the same type of TV’s that are also operated by battery?

Battery TVs have come a long way

You may have a rather outdated image in your mind of a battery-operated TV – maybe something like an old days’ Boom Box, powered by half a dozen or more replaceable ‘D’ size batteries that seems to last no time at all

Surely, such a TV would only really be useful for those instances when there’s a power outage at home or you’re literally in the middle of nowhere and desperately want to watch TV? Even then, you’d still need a supply of batteries to hand. You might think that there is little consumer demand for this type of TV…..but you might be surprised !

Now, let’s take a fresh look at the battery-operated TV opportunity. They could be more like TVs that are already available in ‘real world’ sizes like 22” or 32”. They could incorporate a modern rechargeable battery good for several hours of TV watching. They may run from Mains power, 24v or 12v and charge in the same time as a tablet or laptop This would be a definite improvement given that such battery-powered TVs can have the same features as many domestic LED TV like USB, HDMI outputs and Freeview HD channels to name a few

However, there’s also surely further that the battery-operated TV can go.

What if you could have a battery-operated TV that had it all?

Now, let’s get a little bit more ambitious. Let’s picture a battery-operated TV that not only incorporates a rechargeable longlife battery, is stylish with features for everyday use and enjoyment, has multiple power options for travel use…. and can also be used abroad

Imagine a battery-powered travel TV that offers the high level of flexibility needed to make it suitable for a multitude of modern viewers such as caravan and motorhome owners, campers, boat and barge owners, HGV drivers, holiday park renters, European travellers, off-site catering firms, outside event companies, mobile food catering services, ‘off grid’ enthusiasts, survivalists... the list goes on.

Imagine, too, if such a TV was close to becoming available what entertainment opportunities it might bring to you and your family on more than the odd occasion

Just imagine... and keep an eye out for our next blog post, when we will have some very exciting news to share with you!
