Wondering how to use Google Home with your iPhone? If yes, then you have come to the right place. It is a common belief that Apple products can’t be used with other products in the market. One such theory is that you can’t connect and use your iPhone with Google Home smart speaker. But, that’s not true, it is a bit longer process though. In this article, you are going to learn how to use your Google Home with the iPhone. So what’s the wait? Let’s get started.

How to Use Google Home with iPhone?

If you want to connect and play Google Home with your iPhone, then you must follow the steps given below:

  1. First of all, pair your iPhone and Google Home to the same Wi-Fi.
  2. Then, download the “Google Home” app from the Apple App Store.
  3. Now activate the Bluetooth on your iOS device and then install the Google Home app.
  4. Once the app installed successfully on your device, open it.
  5. Hit the “Add” icon and click on the “Set Up Device” option.
  6. Select the “Set Up New Devices in your Home” option. After that, the Google Home app will scan for the available Google Home smart speakers around you.
  7. Now select the device which you want to connect with your iPhone and then press the Next button.
  8. Once you press the “Next” button, the app will start the process of pairing your device with the Google Home smart speaker. Once the devices get successfully connected, you should hear a sound which indicates your devices are connected successfully.
  9. Press the “Yes” on your iPhone to tell the Google Home app that your devices were connected successfully.
  10. After that, Google Home app will ask about the room in which your Google Home is kept. There you have to select the room in which your device is placed. Then press the Next button to proceed further.
  11. Now you will be asked to choose a Wi-Fi which you want to connect with the smart speaker. So there you need to choose the “Next” option. (The Google Home smart speaker will connect to the same network whenever you connect the speaker to other devices by itself.)
  12. Once that is done, you will have to teach your Google Assistant to recognize your voice. Before doing that, read the information regarding it mentioned in the Google Home app. So make sure to read all of that and then press the Next option.
  13. The Google Home speaker has “Voice Match” feature, which is used to train Google Assistant to recognize your voice. Say hey Google and Okay, Google to train your voice assistant to understand your voice.
  14. Press the Continue button to move ahead.
  15. Thereafter you will be prompted to choose the voice of Google Assistant. You can prefer by voice simply by tapping on it.
  16. Now choose whether you want to get personalized results from your Google Assistant or not. To do so, simply check or uncheck the box located next to the option.
  17. Allow the “Location” access to let Google Assistant know where you are located. Google will use your location to give you more relevant results according to your location.
  18. Then you will be prompted to choose the Media Services that you want to have with your smart speaker. Click on the services which you wish to enable and follow the on-screen instructions.
  19. Hit the Next button.
  20. Give your Google Home a name by simply entering a name of your choice and then press the Next button to confirm.
  21. If you are asked to receive emails regarding the Google Home speaker, then choose the No button to speed up the Setup process.
  22. You will also be prompted to choose a payment method which will be used in all online purchases.
  23. Now the app will show you the final confirmation screen having all the options that you have selected in your device. If you want to edit anything you can easily do it from there. However, if everything seems right, then click the Continue button and then lastly hit the Finish Setup button.
