Latest Method to Resolve QuickBooks Error 3003

Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the QuickBooks error 3003:

Method 1: Download the latest version of Windows

Click on the Windows icon to open the Start menu.

In the search panel, type Settings and select the Settings tab.

Choose Change PC Settings when directed to a new window.

Click on the Update and Recovery button and select Update Now.

Press Check for Updates and allow the program to search for the latest updates online.

Download the updates and follow the on-screen instructions to install them.

Reboot your computer and open QuickBooks Desktop.

Method 2: Check if the QuickBooks processes are running smoothly

One of the important QuickBooks executable files is dbmlsync.exe, which must remain active to ensure proper QB functionality. To check if this file is active and in good condition, follow these steps:

Go to the QuickBooks Connector (OneSaas) dashboard.

Click on the Manage tab and select Sync Now from the drop-down menu to initiate a sync process in the background.

Minimize this window to return to your desktop screen.

Press the Ctrl + Alt + Del keys together to open a menu.

Choose the Start Task Manager option.

Go to the Processes section and search for dbmlsync.exe.

Method 3: Add QuickBooks as an exception in the Windows Firewall

To prevent security applications from identifying QuickBooks Desktop as a threat, you need to add QB as an exception in the Windows Firewall. Follow the steps given below:

Click on the Windows icon on the Start menu, and type Windows Firewall in the search panel.

Select the Windows Firewall option, and a new window will open.

Click on the Advanced Settings option, move to Inbound Rules, and right-click on it.

Choose the New Rule option, and select Program, then click on the Browse button.

Select This Program Path and click on the Next button.

Choose one QB executable file and click on Next. Repeat these steps for all the executable files in QuickBooks.

Click on the Allow the Connection option, and then click on Next.

Check that all the profiles listed here have been marked, then click Next.

Finally, name this rule as QBFirewallException(name.exe), and create Outbound Rules in the same way.
