The Value of Great Relationships

by Lee L. The Gram Savings Plan
If there is one thing I can encourage and stress the most here on this site, it would be the value of making friends, joining groups, listening, learning and following the advice of people who know what the heck they are trying to teach.

I've been a member for quite a few years here.  Like most folks, I've joined programs that have been a flash in the pan, and have some that have been somewhat enjoyable and profitable.  It's a crap-shoot finding something that's the "one thing" you can trust and will be something you can stick with.   I'm not a networking guru or someone who's trying to teach you how to market or network online.  I am someone who will help you with APSense.  I will follow your blog posts (I actually even read them) and I'll comment if I have something to say.  I'll friend you on facebook and "like" your page and I don't even require that you return the favor, but of course, it would be nice.

The "one thing" I want to make the biggest point of here with is that you make contacts with people who will help and support you to the fullest of their ability.  Take time to read and learn about the many wonderful applications available at APSense.   Ask questions, use the new Wiki, research the groups and join the ones that will teach you how to use APSense for it's incredible power.  Make contacts with the people you see posting the most and who are available here on a regular basis.  Don't be shy but don't be obnoxious either--we are all real folks with real lives of our own and sometimes we can't always "be there" for everyone.  Most of us will be delighted to do whatever we can to help anyone here.....it's what APSense is all about.

Make friends--it really does work, trust me, I know.

Lee, this was a good article to read as I start my work day. Since my first moment here at Apsense I felt welcomed unlike I have in other networks I joined and some of the people are connecting, exchanging opinions, chating about the weather - we need that too! - with me and not just trying to sell me their stuff. Things that members discuss are new too me and very interesting. That interest will keep me coming back to Apsense for many days but the support and attention I been getting is also a very good reason to login daily. I'm used to learn from internet. I learned how to use several graphic software that way. Me and my PC, tutorials, internet and just a few or none human interaction. It can be very hard and claustrophobic even if we love what we are doing. Good online relationships will ease that learning process on us and probably will make us richer in many ways if we know how to manage it well! Have an awesome day!

Lee, today I stumbled upon your article which talks from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.

It is very interesting that until today I never thought to join a program or whatever only because one of my on line friends is in there. Unless it is something useful for my own work.

Yes, relationship is important. But we too have to think about our personal goals and purposes. Relationship is useful to learn something new, to change ideas with like minded people and grow this way.

Last but not least: Relationship means also responsibility. This implements that we should stay in contact with our on line acquaintances. Some times it may be very hard as the number of them is for example too high, or due to other activities time is an issue.

And yes, as Belinha said, it takes part of relationship too to chat about weather or the next meal to prepare as we are not always on 'submitting content' but in the mood to say "hello, look I am still here and think of you". :)
