Many of them have not heard about Akio Morita, but  everyone heard about infact knows very well about 'Sony'. Akio Morita is the founder of Sony. You will get surprise to know that the very first product made by Sony was Rice Cooker which overcooked rices more as compare to cook it well. But, this failure did not deter him to make a multi billion dollar company.

We know about Oliver stone, famous oscar winner director, initially has started a novel due to which he was sacked from school and when he completed his novel, no publisher was willing to publish his novel. In last when novel got publish, then reader did not give good response. Finally, he came to Vietnam and starting teaching english and later he joined armed forces. In the war, he got medals for his bravery and from here he got the idea of making movies based on war which has been praised widely.

Every body knows about Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and founder Harland Sanders. Initially, he faced lots of difficulties to sell his food products. But you would get surprise to know what you eat with finger licking, is actually rejected by 1009 restaurant and then it was selected by one restaurant.

In this list, Bill gates, Steve jobs, Deepak Puri (Moser Baer) are also not exception. The main point which we need to learn from here, if we would like to successful then we embrace our failures as well.

Great article rip. we must all learn failure before we can learn success. Like children too, we must learn to walk before we can run. When we fall, we get back up and try again! Persistance and determination is what its all about. :)

Yes! I agree. Before success comes failure. We need to learn from it and not let little failures discourage. Good information! Thanks!

I wouldn't say it is black and white. Sometimes we can have success on a first try. But usually, for sure, we get failure first, especially when it is very important and valuable.

Just my 2 cents. :)

There is a step prior to this one. You have to acknowledge for your self first that you failed with something or made a mistake or mis judgement. There is no shame in that and it happens to all of us.
However there are people that never admit that for them selves.

There are people who never saw the face of failure in their life before their first failure. But when faliure comes, they won't even tolerate that failure and do suicide (students). For those people, it is important to understand the concept called 'Dare to fail'.

making decisions is the first step to success encountering failure is just a benchmark that you are taking enough decisions and when learned from form a springboard to your next success

It is unrealistic to expect success with every venture. It is always a great story to hear how great men / women have struggled before they achieved success. Thanks for the reminder.

If you can endure failure, then you can manage success when it comes. For a man who has never failed may never appreciate true success for both success and failure are two sides of the same coin.

I have never heard of any successful person that did not fail first. Failure builds character.
