All of life is a Sales pitch

by Sean North Business

Not a day goes by that I don't raise a chuckle at adverts for opportunities that state no selling required, or somebody saying they don't like selling

The truth is our whole life, Personal or Business is sales
pitch

We sell ourselves When we:

Meet new people; friends, colleagues, girlfriends/boyfriends

Interview for a job

Approach a new customer, prospect.

The fact is that more often than not, how we present and
sell ourselves is what sells be it to friends or customers.

In our local high street we have two Newsagent both selling
identical goods the one that I use is 500 yards farther down the road and I have to pass the first shop to get to it. Why because in the second shop nothing is too much trouble and I am served with a smile the owner has sold himself to me, and is rewarded with my business. Whereas the in the first shop all is doom and gloom I have to endure the business is bad speech and everything is a drama, meaning I am happy to walk that extra 500 yards to bypass him no wonder his business is bad.

So embrace sales, get to like it, speak and write with a
smile, and remember everybody you meet speak to or correspond with is a customer.

Sell yourself And Let The Product Sell Itself

Very true. I prefer buying stuff in shops where I am treated friendly and get good service. I don't mind paying a little more than. This also apllies on online services and programs. By the way, nice cat!

That is just so true. I have been with the same Credit Union since 1994 when my job at the time offered us membership for free with direct deposit. I had been a bank customer all my life prior.
What a difference. The tellers were always smiling always will to take a few moments to chat with customers. The lobby had comfortable wingback chairs arranged around a coffee table bearing "family" photo albums. Photos, news clippings and articles about their members. They learned their members by name and greeted us by name.
Far cry from the just a number treatment you get at a bank. When I moved to Texas, I kept my account there. That is MY credit union even if it is a few states away in Florida.
