Hi everyone,

To build a successful Internet marketing business, those who are successful will tell you the most important skill is building relationships.

One other skill is as important, if not more.

Common sense.

Most people will say they use common sense in their daily activities. But when comes the time to build a successful online business, common sense goes out the window.

The reason is that there are many factors involved. Managing time, planning, setting priorities, budget considerations, defining strategies, choosing tools, and more.

As you discover new challenges, the level of stress increases. You look for answers in information products, such as eBooks, videos. You look for reviews and recommendations in forums. You subscribe to newsletters. After a few weeks, it gets harder to manage the numerous emails.

Every week, there are new information products. Your attention gets divided between studying the materials you have already acquired and taking a look at your email inbox.

Doubts start creeping in. You hesitate. You don't know whom to trust anymore. Your spouse gets suspicious when she sees the credit card report. Your kids scream for attention.

You think automation tools will solve your problems. Your blog will get new content while you sleep. Managing 3,000 Twitter followers is now a snap. Submitting your videos in every popular site with one click will save so much time.

True. But when was it that you started losing your focus? Your contacts stop following you, because all they receive nowadays are robotic information. You need to correct course. And fast. Where is your coach? Oh, yeah, you can't afford one.

The hard drive is full of products. Where to begin? What is the next step? The bills keep coming in. Your list is not big enough. Wait, there's a new email that...

Ok. Pause. At this point, you suffer from information overload, combined with awful credit card debts.

Stop trying to determine the best strategy. Fine tuning your emails and website is good up to a point. But it won't help you sleep better at night.

It's time for good old common sense.

Patience, determination, an organized structure, these traits will help you get back on track.

Study. Learn. Avoid distractions. Spend your money wisely. Manage your time carefully. Use the tools you already have. Outsource some tasks if you can.

Find a mentor you trust. Stay with him or her.

When creating your ad campaigns, don't hurry. Until you have acquired experience, you will fail many times. Let those failures become learning experiences. Test with new ads. Make sure the content you create is at least readable. Making it compelling is another skill you will need to acquire.

To be successful online, let common sense guide you. It will make you save time and money in the long run.
