The World's Ugliest Fruit-- But Like Most Things It's Good For You, If You Can Get Past The Smell...LOL! :)
|
![]() There are some things that I will try to eat, if only once, just to see what other Humans are eating in other parts of the World... Sometimes this is Good and other times Not So Good... The Durian has got to be one of the "Natural Marvels " that I am certainly doesn't have legs.... The wild thing about Durian is that It stinks so badly and looks like 25 sharp- quilled Porcupines all rolled into one, and yet it's called the "King Of The Fruits"...(?) Believe me, I don't mean any disrespect or insult the food choices of others, but these fruits require a "Special kind of love", and I mean "Special"... There's a vitamin and mineral hit in Durian that can make a CORPSE jump up and Boogie, but that smell will stay with you forever! :) PS: I believe even Jennifer's Turkey Buzzards would definitely pass on this one! :) Music Video Codes by VideoCure

| Haha. durian fan? my sister loves durian!!
It is quite tough to open the durain shell, its very hard. Have to use strength to pry open the shell. Not to mention its easy to get pricked by the thorns. So my dad would always be the one who pry open the shell. However, nowadays, in supermarkets in my country , Singapore, they open the shell and place the meat in styrofoam packets for easier eating for customers. Pricing of a normal size packet ranges from $1-$5 . That depends on the "grade" of the durian. There are various grades of durain. D24 is said to be the tastiest. there are others like D12, XO durian etc. It depends on personal preference. Seriously, it not that yucky as it smells. there are some food that smells bad but don't taste as bad as it smells. ever heard of smelly tofu? It's a delicacy in Taiwan. James Kong My Money Tree |

| I was hoping that a Durian fan would check in-- Thanks for stopping by! :)
The taste of food for some is closely relatated to what the food smells like-- Durian is a very tough sell to the nose... Most people never get past that point! LOL! :) WIN Network Seminars- Your Chance To Win! |
