What Can You Do To Make Yourself Unstoppable

What Can You Do To Make Yourself Unstoppable.

Most of us have kids and at times we see them playing video games l mean for hours. You know why they play for hours not because they are winning but because they are losing. They are doing all they can to get to the next level of that game and then they get sent back to square one. They do this over and over again, trying to achieve the next level of the game. Where they made a mistake or a wrong turn, they take the approach and the challenge with a new strategy.

Lets think about this here for a minute, kids learning and teaching them selves to get to the next level over and over again is this not what our life's as adults is all about. We as adults give up way to quick, just because we made a wrong turn and fell flat on our face and got sent back to square one. How come we do not approach our mistakes as kids do and start all over again and apply new strategies to get us where want to be.

This is one of the biggest reason l never get upset watching my kids and friends playing video games because l know one thing they are learning problem solving skills, and experimenting with different approaches, they're gain confidence but most of all having fun but yet learning life strategies.

Each time they get to next level of that game, they will have to repeat the same process over and over again. The ability of not beating or winning that game never even enters there mind...Wow kids have this ability to tackle problems and face them over and over again and yet we as adults, we have tendency to hide from our obstacles in everyday life............

So the next time you have an obstacle in your way and your having a real hard time with it, think about your kid or any kid playing a video game and how he approaches the obstacles that sent him back to square one. He thinks, and decides to apply new found strategy to his new approach, how we should also as adults approach our let downs, never allow the though of defeat even enter your mind.

If you approach each obstacle with this mind set you going strength your conviction, raising your expectations and then you will conquer your fears that have held you back for so long. The more you apply this formula the easier it will get and you will recognize each small victory along the way making you stronger and you will start to believe in yourself like never before. This is how you make yourself unstoppable one small victory after another...................

See kids do have the ability to teach us, we just have to understand how they think they have no boundaries in life defeat never enters there minds. So the next time your kids are playing a video game learn from them by watching what they do................

Thank you Theresa, Wendy

The funny part of it all it makes perfect sense when we as adults have to learn from our kids, when we should be teaching them.........

As adults we place too much weight on and add too much meaning to our past experiences.
We can certainly learn from errors, however we tend to use them as the excuse for not moving forward. We will not change the past, yet we can change the hold that it has on us.

Make a decision for yourself...either completely drop the goal or totally be determined to achieve it.

Here are two great, relevant quotes:

I can remember walking as a child. It was not customary to say you were fatigued. It was customary to complete the goal of the expedition….Katharine Hepburn

Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?...Mary Manin Morrissey

Children have a shorter history and therefore less to let go of when deciding to move forward.

The next time you say you can't, before you say you won't, find a way that you can and you will

I hope you won't mind me adding this quote in the mix! It's a good one to read often and slowly:

Life is a bunch of accidents that happen to you and somehow you survive them by taking advantage of them and then something magical happens and violá - you have the beginning of your dream. But the accidents are the result of an intention - an intention created from a dream you are passionate about. So passionate, so strong is your passion that the energy of it fuels your intention. And when it becomes so strong that not even the Universe can deny it, that's when the 'accidents' take place. The double-edged sword, the element that makes it all happen - that binds it all together - YOU HAVE TO BE OKAY IF IT DOESN'T HAPPEN!! It's the excitment of the possibility of the adventure of the nothingness. You must be willing to trade what you have, that may look great but FEELS wrong for this nothing that could be something. It's the excitement of having the courage to leave behind what you have for the possibility of what could be. You must be able to let go of what you have. You must not need it or let it define who you are. You must be okay without it AND you must be okay if the nothing turns into that - just nothing. You become okay with the decision simply because you made the decision! It's the act of leaving what isn't supporting you for the possibility of something better that makes you like yourself more for simply making this decision. WHAT'S MY DREAM?? How do you recognize your true dream from all the other wants and desires in your life? IF YOU ENJOY THE PROCESS - IT'S YOUR DREAM! If you are enduring the process, desperate for the result - it's SOMEBODY ELSE'S DREAM!!…Salma Hayek

Hey Garnet,

I will share with you a funny story, l just arrived home from a business trip as l walked down the stairs to my home office l seen all these wires crossing all over the place. I went into my office drop off my gear, went into family room and sen 7 or 8 kids holding a control for the game l said what is going on here all the kids including my son looking at me. I went upstairs said to my wife what is going on down stairs, my computer moulding is been used none of the tv's are working l have all these wires all over the place.

My wife looks at me they do this all the time, l said really then what, they put everything back the way it was. I shook my head walked away went for a walk thinking about how nothing was going to work when l got home.

The moment they left, all was back in place l went from room to room making sure that all TV's worked and then to my office click on the computer and it also worked...............Man l was sacred had no idea what in gods name was going on.................l sat back though and said boy these kids these days are pretty smart.................guess what, they are...............

I actually am guilty of playing those games with my kids :0)
I like to say that I never give up...but some things in life you HAVE to let go. That is what a lot of people mistake themselves for. As in my marriage, I am not a failure because my marriage did not work. I did not give up on it, I let it go because it was bad! Now, if you are believing in something that is hurting you and not helping you. That is the time to let go. But when you have something in your life that you believe in and know is worth fighting for. You NEVER give up!

And oh to add by the way...the 'marriage' is just one example. I have had to 'let go' many many times in these 29 years, and am sure it will happen many more times.
Maybe I am making no sense. It is 12 am, and I should be in the bed. Lol. I just lost $10,000 in texas hold em(placed 30th out of 100)...thank goodness it was FAKE money! Lol! (But I still have $25,000)

Thank you. I just see a lot of things that could be looked at as 'I gave up'. But I know it was not that at all. Nobody knows the truth but you, and it is up to you to determine what is bad and what is good. That is the hard part :0)

I learned on heck of a lot about myself from watching a kid play dragon's lair back in the 80's...

She was excellent at a game that i couldn't get past the first level on... but she was running out of money...

There was no way the I was going to let her be defeated-- So I started feeding her quarters and she won!

My lesson-- There is power in Persistance-- Give it all you've got and then some. The money that you need is really there for you-- It just a matter of going to find it, there are people who want to see you win-- Never fall victim to the illusion that all people want you to lose... Patience, Persistance and Powerful Actions get things Done!

Goes with the old saying " A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins"!
I always pound that into my kids. And last year my son showed just how much it worked. It was field day (I am sure that most of you know what I am talking about, it is a full day for kids to do competitive fun sports to earn ribbons..and some prizes).
Well, my son was placing in all the events he was in. (Both of my boys by the way are very competitive when it comes to sports..that is another story)...
But it was time for the sack race. My son was ready set then......boy he went and got it, he was in first then next thing he fell flat on his face. He immediately got up, and fell again. By this time he was in last place, and fell many more times after that. Finally he got to the finish line and intentionally flew across the finish line landing on his stomach and his face. Got up with a huge smile on his face and ran up to me and said. Well, I still won because I DIDN'T GIVE UP! I was the proudest parent of any of them out there! He knew that he could make first, but this day and event it did not happen. But he knew he still won! Till this day he will talk about that moment more than all of the 1st place ribbons he made that day!
